so basically, long story short (but not really):
daou's cats had 5 kittens and he planned on keeping only 2.
he sold 2 and laika was supposed to go to offroad (he fell in love at first sight with her) but at that time he couldn't provide/take care of her properly so he had to give up and told ou to send her to a good person that could care for her.
however, road loved her SO MUCH ou eventually kept her cause he was afraid road would be sad.
so in the end he kept 3 cats and let him name her. from then he had excuses to go to his condo basically everyday "to play with the cats" *winkwink* and the rest is history (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

side note: someone is so drunk in love these days he keeps saying offroad turns into laika every night lmao smh
