BL Drama Lovers Club

I am not ME if I'm not watching an entire show series because of a BL support character; finally found how to watch Tonari no Kazoku wa Aoku Mieru (Residential Complex) from 2018, for the character Aoki Saku. I know this actor from a handful of roles (none of them are BL but I like his acting), so I'm excited! He was in Don't call it mystery and Tokyo Revengers.

AKA I saw this show in a tiktok and it's been in my mind for like a month.

I tried to watch Playboys yesterday, didn't even last one minute in. so i wanted to ask if american fan watched it? because i think we're similar in the fact that we hate "those" (also hope you get well soon :) )

But i'm loving the hair styles!

Speaking of hair...I just finished See Your Love, which I really liked, but did not like the poofy stacked Elvis style hairdo on Wang Xin Jia. Every time I saw his hair from the side view all I could do was cringe. (Some of you here know I'm sensitive to hair styles, lol)

 

Some of them do workout gym live streams that I have been in, so they're real. 😁 The ones I have watched are also really sweet guys too and so respectful, good natured, friendly in their approach with their audiences. It's nearly the complete opposite with most American streamers that do similar format live streaming.

Today I've started on "I Will Turn Back This Time" (starting today on Gaga) plus also in parallel (finally) "Meet You at the Blossom". Other than for the fact that the leads in the new series are the actors who played the popular side couple in "Blossom", there's no similarity. So far, "Turn Back" seems alright but not brilliant, although I know things will change: It starts quite light, with some comedy moments, but I know from the synopsis that things will take a tragic turn ...

Now watching today's episode 2 of "I Will Turn Back This Time" - and it's growing on me, even though it seems to be yet another go-back-in-time-to-a-critical-juncture story, which probably also means it'll have a sad ending  (for example, like the KBL "Once Again", except so far this one seems much more promising as a BL).

P.S. This seems to be from the same production company as "Blossom", so I'm assuming that it'll be more BL than just Chinese bromance. Fingers crossed. (Not that I have anything against a really good bromance with cuties ...)
