So my biggest artist this year was actually the composer for Bee & Puppycat, but in dramaland c-drama soundtrack reigned supreme in July for me ^_^

As I promised here I am to share my share of drama OSTs from my Spotify Top 100.

In place 95 I had Reaching For You by ZEROBASEONE from Love Next Door. I really really liked most of the songs from that drama. ♥️

In 68th place I got Go by Lucy from the kdrama Highschool Return on a Gangster. I loved loved loved this drama, despite, you know.... some backlash it received. It was certainly one of my favorites this year.♥️

In 61 there was Sweet Drama by Vincent Blue from Cinderella at 2AM. I admit the drama started good but ended flat, but I can't say the same for the OST. I loved all the songs, with this one being my favorite!!! ♥️

Then, in place 46 I had No Fate by Eclipse the fictional band from the kdrama Lovely Runner. You'll see another song from the same "band" show up higher, because DAMN were the songs good! I was ADDICTED, you don't even get it!♥️♥️♥️

Not that much higher, in place 39 there was My Sweet Mobster by Every Single Day from, you guessed it, My Sweet Mobster. I just love it every time I hear a soundtrack made by Every Single Day, they're so good and they have many classics, for example from Pinocchio and I Hear Your Voice. Their soundtracks "hit differently" as they say xD ♥️

Moving on to another drama whose whole OST I really enjoyed. I had The Reason of My Smiles by BSS in place 35 from the kdrama Queen of Tears. I admit the reason it's so high is because it's done by a subgroup of the kpop group Seventeen and I just so happen to be a huge fan of them (they were my top artist this year like always oops haha). Regardless, I loved the song like I loved all the songs from Queen of Tears. It's so mellow and sweet ♥️😭

As I mentioned before, I had another Lovely Runner song in 20th place. It was Run Run by Eclipse. What more can I say? I was just obsessed with the OST from that drama for a long time during the Spring.♥️

Last but NOT LEAST I am proud to announce in my top 10 I had one very very special song to me. Specifically, in 8th place I was rocking the Opening from Mysterious Lotus Casebook sung by none other that Liu Yuning. This bro, I swear he always comes up with the sickest songs for any cdrama he's ever created a soundtrack for. The process is usually me listening to a song, being mesmerised by how good it is, me searching it up and it always ending up being his song XD.
My addiction with Mysterious Lotus Casebook was no joke in the beginning of the year and the position of the song in my top is only a reflection of that. In case any of you haven't watched the drama I hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighly recommend. That's where entertainment peaked!♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

Ikr, and Sonagi too. But actually the other two songs from ECLIPSE you listen the most are also great, it's just my finger always choose Sonagi.

I never listen to half of the songs you listen the most. I'll check them one by one and adding them to my youtube music playlist.

It's the opposite for me as you can imagine from my list. I like Sonagi but I don't get the hype tbh. I prefer the others hehe

3 of my most loved soundtracks:

  • It's You by Henry Lau 
    • This is from the 2017 KDrama, While You Were Sleeping. Listening to this OST makes your heart race, it makes you want to fall in love and you can't stop smiling like a fool, whilst singing along to it! Every single OST from this drama is an absolute banger! I love them all. The KDrama itself is also top-tier IMO. This was actually one of my first dramas, so it definitely was a strong start for me in the KDramaland and also what got me into soundtracks. And I still love it to this day!
    • While You Were Sleeping - Full OST Album (The Spotify version is much better) 
  • Upwards Towards The Moon by Sa Dingding 
    • This is from the 2018 CDrama, Ashes of Love. This OST touches you like no other! It takes you to another world and makes you feel like there's is nothing around you, not even you. And the heart-wrenching scenes it's played during make your heart squeeze in pain and your eyes become a waterfall like never before!
    • Ashes of Love - Full OST Album (The Spotify version is much better)
  • Grown Ups by Sondia 
    • This is from the 2018 KDrama, My Mister. Listening to this song feels like the whole world is against you and keeps throwing daggers at you for no reason. It's like everyone including you is suffering for their reasons but you are the punching bag. You might have the worst life ever but when you decide to take a look around, you notice everyone else is also going through something beyond what they can fix. And then the tears come gushing down in both pain and realisation. The singer, Sondia's voice is what gives life to this song, her voice feels so vulnerable, raw, tender, expressive, and as many would describe hauntingly beautiful. And once you read the lyrics themselves, this OST becomes even more heartwrenching and at the same time, heartwarming too! All the OSTs in this drama are amazing!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this—it brought back so many wonderful memories of While You Were Sleeping. I vividly remember how much I enjoyed this drama, especially since it was one of the first I watched when I got into dramas :")). My favorite OST from it has to be Monogram - Lucid Dream. It’s so ethereal and makes me feel like I’m in another world. I remember playing it on repeat for weeks!

  2. As for Ashes of Love, I haven’t watched it yet, but the OST sounds absolutely divine. I loved going through the entire OST list.

  3. And My Mister... Before starting it, I never imagined I would enjoy it as much as I did. Surprisingly, it became one of my all-time favorites. It’s what I’d describe as a true masterpiece—pure art.
