A Bit Spoilery!! Be Warned!!

Who has watched this?! Who wants to!? I absolutely love this so far. I am on Episode 8...the very beginning of Episode 8 and I love the intrigue, mystery, plot, acting and love story that is built in.

I can't stress enough how awesome this drama is! I recommend it so so highly!
I went through the first 6 episodes thinking this drama was very well done. Falling in love with the love story and really enjoying the intrigue and set up of an undercover cop in the world of Yakuza/Shin ku. And then right around episode 7 the plot twists in this really amazing way and everything turns on it's ear. Nothing is what I expected. And I have seen a lot of Kdramas and Jdramas to think I knew what to expect! Now I am 5 minutes into episode 8 and another twist has just totally knocked me over! Nothing is as it seems with this drama in the COOLEST WAY! I wish this was newer or currently airing so people were watching and discussing this! If you haven't seen this drama...again...you really should.
I know for sure of at least another 2 people on this forum who have seen the drama. The first is never here, lol, the second wasn't overly enthusiastic of the very twist you - and I - find so gripping. But it's up to them to comment, if they wish to. :)

As for me, I'm happy you opened a thread, Jeanie. Thank you. :) Already your episode reviews made me want to re-watch this drama, which blew me away the first time I saw it. Like this, I could discuss in a more detailed manner.
Even so, I remember very well the overall feeling I got from this drama. First of all, I think its stunning cinematography plays a major role in the way each event is felt by the viewer: I could sense - but never predict - that the plot wouldn't go the way I had envisioned. And it really managed to surprise me until the very end!

The love story is the kind I like, not fluffy at all. Very on-edge and intense. I loved the chemistry between them and I absolutely adored the language barrier issue, to the point I missed it when she learned Japanese and they started to truly understand each other.

:)
Oh I was loving this drama just fine but what I expected was: BIG GIANT SPOILERS! * A typical scenario where Takumi was placed in harms way dealing with his infiltration of the Shin Ku, episodic plots where he was trying to bring them down while keeping Yuna and her sister safe...With a side dish of finding her father and a big build up to the finish and a happy ending. Which if executed in the right way would be a perfectly satisfying and wonderful drama to watch...and that is exactly where it was headed...I was a happy watcher! BUT .... I did not expect! * Yuna to be part of the Shin Ku and Song's Daughter and for the Korean bad guy, upon whom I wished all manner of ill and harm, to be an undercover cop! HOLY TWISTERS BATMAN!! *END Spoiler.

I LOVE IT! I guess to each his/her own but OMO! The way this is playing I guess I just can't wrap my mind around why anyone would find fault with this? I'll be back after Episode 8. I've been distracted all night and I want the world to go away so I can watch Rondo.

LOL..

and p.s.

Kamzie it is! and you should be. The subs are not the best but I downloaded and found some better after searching and searching. If you decide to download and want me to send them I will. I think I can send SRT files okay. If not you can find the drama online in several places. PM me if you decide you are going to watch. I wouldn't normally say this but this drama is worth it even with the sub par subs.

LMAO!!! I think it's in line with the "fro" guy's character - I can't remember his name, so allow me to borrow the nick you gave him. He's presented from the beginning as a little womanizer, so somehow his calling "Oppa" such a manly guy as Takumi, is like a friendly provocation, haha. At least that's the impression it left on me.

Spoiler: (please DO NOT read if you haven't watched the drama!!!! Spoiler in this case are truly going to spoil EVERYTHING!!)
*
I'm with you about Yuna's being Shin Ku: I loved the twist too. It was so incredibly unexpected, mostly because in the previous episodes before the revelation, the drama focuses on their love, to the point as a viewer I was lulled into the confortable thought that they were an assumption. This is the reason why - more and more - I'm going to rewatch this drama starting tomorrow: I want to see if they threw in some hints here and there, or if they just led us by the nose all the time giving away nothing. ;)
Oh, and I had to secretly smile when I read your comment about wanting the Korean undercover cop to disappear. ;)
Truly, nobody is who he or she's supposed to be. I remember thinking the chief - Takumi's mentor - could be in fact a bad guy... and I was wrong again!
I guess the only character we can be sure of is Takumi - although he's got a couple of secrets on his own.

Oh, he's sexy all right. ;) The man is so intense if he stared at me the way he usually does I would combust. Not to mention his voice... :p
Uh, if any of you understand Spanish, YouTube has the whole serie subbed in Spanish, and it's a lot better than the English version, which has been clearly translated with google from the Chinese or something. I remember reading that the subs are atrocious in the DVD set too. As I said, the Spanish ones are much better done - at least they get the names right... :p
this thread makes me remember that i have this on my plan to watch list..^^; now i'm downloading ep 1..going to watch it tonight.. will be good for waiting new episode of mou ichido kimi ni propose.. :D takenouchi yutaka~ <3
Ahh, i really wanted to see this drama then i don't know what happened, it's not even in my PTW list o_O
