Historical drama recommendation

I'm actually really fond in historical drama, but I have actually never watched a japanese historical drama, and I want to change this. But I'm not an expert in j-drama so I'm asking for your help. I'm searching short drama (around ~10 ep) and the classic of the genre. Thank a lot !

Thanks a lot, I'm really interested by Tenno no Ryoriban, Nobunaga Concerto & Ooku : Arikoto Iemitsu Hen. By the way, the last drama is adapted from a manga, I'm sure I have read the same story exactly !

You mean Ooku, or Tsuma wa Kunoichi? If it's the former then yes it was adapted from a manga, not so sure about the later tho. Anyway, hope you enjoy them~

I have watched Jin , Tenno no Ryoriban, and Nobunaga Concerto and I second those recommendations.

There is also a Special that was like 3 episodes long about the story of a three or so generations of a family. That was very good too.
