so excited. B'z is doing a north american tour, they have a stop in Toronto September 26th. I have friends going and wanted to go with them but wasn't sure I could afford it. My boss offered to pay! :D *squeeee*

taking the bus down alone, but that's no big deal, then i'll probably have time to kill before i meet up with the others so i'll do some shopping in chinatown or something, have lunch etc. should be a nice little getaway after working too much overtime the last couple weeks.

weeee :D

anyone else going to see them?

I'm totally jealous of you!!! T__T
Is there something going on between you and your boss ;)
Lucky Ladyfaile, i'm also soooooooooo jealous... I wish I could come, but... I'm working, and I'm pretty sure my boss will never offer me such a great present (as i'm a civil servant!!!) and ... I don't live in North America!!! I want them to come in Europe too (though i'm not sure they are very famous here...) I'm sure you will have a really good time, hope you'll tell us about it!!!! What is your favorite song of the band?
I must admit I haven't followed their music that much, but what I've heard I've liked. we don't get many Jrock bands here, so it's sort of a take advantage of whichever ones I can and hope it increases demand so more bands will come here. we have a great promotion company here trying to bring over more and more bands, they'll have more success if the shows sell well. it's also an opportunity to hit the big city and visit with friends, do some shopping etc, all on my own. i rarely (never) get to do anything on my own just for me. and my boss.. he gives "favours" instead of raises. I'd still prefer the raise but I'll take what I can get. I'm going to find some of their stuff and dl it to my ipod so i can listen on the drive down. i have 5 hours on a bus by myself so i plan on catching up on their music a bit and doing some japanese studying. i'm not a fan of downloading but I intend to buy a cd from the merch table at the show so I think that sort of justifies it haha
^ you really should listen to all their songs!!kekeke I'm a fan of downloading.. :P but I bought some of their albums (and some are mini albums) and try to watch their concert videos on youtube.. I love them more even only from video... also,,the songs can be enjoyed by all generations, imo..even my sensei sang b'z song at karaoke..lol but maybe at concert, they'll sing the newest album more: c'mon
I have no idea who B'z is/are but I'm happy you're happy LF :)
haha thanks :P i think i prefer their older stuff, i've been trying to listen to the new album on youtube and i'm not really digging it that much ^^ sounds too.. american lol
I read that the newest album is ALL english? I hope the whole concert isn't english, I'd be pretty bummed lol. i'm sure they'll bust out some older songs
i don't know much of their music but the bit i've heard made me think of them as the japanese bon jovi. they're a good rock band and i am officially jealous of you right now. i hope u've downloaded as much of their hits as you can and got the lyrics to all of them so you can amaze your friends and everyone around you when you sing along. you're going to a jrock concert! ahhhh! lol. ps: how awesome is ur boss? right! he's a keeper!
haha well i still only make minimum wage even though i'm a manager. he says he prefers to give favours than raises but we have to ask him when we want something and i'm not comfortable with that. i figure if he felt i deserved a bonus or reward or whatever he'd give it to me without me having to chase him for it. and then he made me feel guilty saying he couldn't pay the guys doing our renovations on time. but whatever i'm gonna enjoy it. he even threw in an extra 40 bucks for dinner :D and yeah you're right they so do sound like Japanese Bon Jovi. couldn't put my finger on it all these years hahaha. not the type of music i generally go for but i don't mind it and i hear they put on a great show. and i'm not paying for it so what the heck mwuahahahaha. plus i get some 'me time' to wander around the city and do some shopping in chinatown, visit with a former coworker who's living down there now, and spend time with a couple friends! so it's totally worth it. the only thing i'm not sure on is if we'll still be living here LOL hubby may get a job in another city (closer to where the concert is) which would mean relocating and quitting my job :P i mentioned to him that if it happens i'll feel weird keeping the money but he reminded me it was a gift to thank me for the work i've done, not a bribe to keep me there longer. so true, so true.

the newest album is "C'mon", right?
but there's no english song there...
and as far as I remember, they don't have english song..
many of their songs have english title, but not the song itself..
no a better article was posted today saying they chose 5 of their favourite songs and translated them into english and are releasing them on an EP. so they will perform them at the shows but obviously Japanese songs as well. phew.
so the show was awesome. they're really good live. played all the songs i know ^_^ they have really good energy and stage presence, lots of fun. lots of Japanese people and therefore conversations in the crowd :) now and then i would overhear a word i knew and be all excited haha <-- dork was a "no camera" event. I could see a film crew and equipment around the stage and behind the audience and they were interviewing fans after the show so I guess they're doing a tour dvd. they even had staff push through the crowd a couple times to tell people to put phones cameras etc away if they were taking pictures. pretty strict. so i unfortunately have no photos of vids to share. but on the B'z official facebook page they posted 4 or 5 pictures
Thanks for sharing your impressions. I really envy you. would'nt be surprised there will be a tour DVD (every artist are releasing tour dvd nowadays).
It seems that the final concert will be avalable in streaming at the following page (it seems to be live, but I wonder if we can still see it after the show is over?)
