Yes, that's the complicated part of it. But I think that she went the first time, and then he got killed and she got back to the future but she tried to return to the past to fix his death, and that's when she arrived 1000 years earlier, became Hwata and wrote the diary. What I don't get is why she doesn't remember anything now
