POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT
Did anyone notice in the previews for episode 10, he gets mad at her and tells her she said they would never meet again. He tells her she is making excuses to appear in front of him (work, blind dates...) But at the END of the preview she is still in the black dress from the blind date when she confesses to Ki-Joon,"I like you. Don't like me back."

Lie to Me isn't even my favorite drama of the current batch. Not even top 3. But for some reason it's the only drama that inspires me to write dissertation length posts. I don't think my diagnosis is as clean-cut as everyone else's.
Episode 9 Spoilers
Oooh, everyone got mature new cuts to match the mature new tone of the drama. Nice! And I really like that title still applies to the drama. It's one of my superficial pet peeves when a title bares no relation to the actual work, so I'm glad that there's still lying go on, even if it's of the frustrating "Lying to Oneself" sort.
Re: the scene where Ah Jung and her lackey are playing with the camera. Is it me or has product placement in these dramas lost its subtlety? *cough-Greatest-Love-I-saw-what-you-did-there-for-the-past-10-episodes-cough* Still... That was one nifty camera.
I don't know about these Korean hiking trails, guy. If I ever make it to Korea, should I avoid them for the sake of my life? Or should I plunge right in for the sake of my love life? I think I could sacrifice a limb if it meant meeting my OTL. But how much do I love that Ah Jung quasi-rejected Ki Joon's confession in the ditch there? My flatmate and I had a mini-debate, where she was Team "OMG He likes you! Jump his bones RIGHT NOW!" while I was backing Team "Ah Jung, do not let that man on the flight until he's checked his baggage at the counter!" Seriously, Yoon Joo, you make my skin crawl. To continue the traveling metaphor, you need to change the itinerary for that guilt trip you're on and make your final destination Paris, because really? Really? There's a small voice in my head arguing that Yoon Joo is actually the main victim of all of this, because if Ki Joon is yanking anyone's chain, it's hers. However, there's a louder, more rabid, voice telling the smaller voice to shut up and stop trying to defend the desperate girl who was already flat out rejected like two episodes ago. Just pick up the pieces and go already. Take your memories with you---they have a lifetime guaranty. *sigh* I make no apologies for disliking Yoon Joo as much as I do.
Still on the fence about the possible Sang Hee liking Ah Jung mini-cliffhanger there... I mean, I guess it was inevitable. I just don't want to see my Silk Chocolate being all sad. =(

Just finished watching the 9th episode. A couple things I'd like to get off my chest:
*Not a very good lost and found scene in the woods. C'mon guys, you could've done better. But I loved that he called out "Ah Jung-ah!" when trying to find her.
*Not as important, but I love the new hairstyle for them all: So Ran, Ah Jung, Sang Hee
*So Ran's outburst in front of Ki Goon (as someone mentioned previously) really showed me that the two of them will likely redevelop their friendship, which I would like.
*Hated the way Yoon Joo was acting, completely like a child. Thank god Ki Goon has already told her it's over.
*Ki Goon has such a temper. He tried the whole acting analogy with Ah Jung, and when she coldly responded he acted like a jerk. But I loved when his friend made him realize he'd have to apologize. How cute.
*What's with the sudden dongsaeng liking Hyung's love. Again. Really. I would have preferred if they had stayed away from this plotline, cause seeing the same thing happen to him twice....man he needs to recheck his life choices.
*Ah Jung's persona on the blind date near killed me.....I wanted to cringe and not look. But I couldn't help it.
Wow, what was supposed to be a few things turned out to be a lot. Can't wait for tomorrow~ Gonna go watch ep 10 preview.

I am soo addicted to this drama!!! I absolutely can't wait for the tomorrow's ep!! I was hooked on it from the start and it made me laugh, which in my opinion is the best. Plus, im a huge fan of YEH, i love all her dramas. i still need to watch the young lady one though
The OST for this drama is amazing. Plus, MBLAQ has a song!!!!

I am actually pretty confused about Sang Hee. I just watched 9 subbed. (wow that was fast) But all I have ever really felt from him in relationship to Ah Jung was friendship. If the actor was trying to convey some kind of real budding romantic feeling it didn't register with me. I don't feel the urgency of his u-turning the car around and rushing to the hotel to ...do what? interrupt her blind date?
I'm not on board the Sang Hee train. I like him as a brother type/friend but as a 2nd lead with real potential for conflict I find him a dud. A lot of people speculate and I sort of agree, that the storyline is headed for a "history repeats" type of scenerio where his liking Ah Jung will cause a lot more conflict than their lie at the beginning and their pride/misunderstanding/confusion does now. But even if that happens I'm not sure how I will feel. Sang Hee's character is simply coddled way to much and they haven't given me enough reason to understand why or care.
Having said that, I still find this show more and more addicting as it progresses. I liked this episode a lot and I'm still loving the chemistry between Kang Ji Hwan and Yoon Eun Hye. Wouldn't mind some more kissin' ...that would be good.

LOL, yeah. I've noticed the placements are getting more and more obvious.
I kept repeating during the ditch scene "Don't fall for it Ah Jung, make him win his bread don't just give it to him."
I really don't like Yoon Joo, and if I ever mentioned I felt bad for her, (which I don't recall doing)I I take it all back. There were times when I tried to sympathize with her, but then she would act like her needy self again. And can she really be called a victim when she very well knows how to play her guilt trip cards? It's been three years she should get over it and on top of that she's been told twice by Gi Joon to go away. So, she should sell her apartment in Korea, apply for French citizenship (people do want her over there because in Korea it seems not even Sang Hee wants her now), buy a one way plane ticket to Paris, and marry a nice French guy.

I thought she just let her hair down, it didn;t seem like she had long hair in that ponytail.

Yeah, when she fell I actually thought the ditch was deeper. When they were both "stuck" in it, I kept thinking "Can't you just crawl out of it?" And I thought she fractured her ankle, but it wasn't even that serious...
When she was on the blind date, I kept "shhh"-ing her. I was so embarrassed by her behavior.

I agree with you about little brother.
Just like you, his having any romantic feelings for Ah Joung would take me completely by surprise. Personally, I'm inclined to think that the writers want to catch two pidgeons with one shot (sorry, is that the correct simile? LOL), making little brother be AGAIN the reason for big brother to have to chose between brotherly affection and love for a woman AND at the same time, make him only believe he's falling for Ah Joung. Like this they are creating the premises for a sort of "dramatic justice", only to make him realize at the last minute he never really loved Ah Joung as more than a sister/friend.
I'm not buying his being over his first love; I thought the scene with the aunt was somehow revealing of his still loving her.
Just as revealing was the birthday scene, with Ki Joon looking at them both as if he were watching a pair of lovers.
I don't think I made myself very clear. Sorry. :P

Who in the world suprises someone else for their own birthday?!?! Hahahaha! I found it hilarious that Sang Hee and Yoon Joo surprised Ki Goon because it was Sang Hee's birthday!
Weird but funny.
LOL, true. And a little sad too, more or less like buying yourself a present for your own b-day. ;)
Just watched ep 9 - and came here right after to read all your comments. =) There are many kinds of addictions… Okay, just a few random comments after watching the ep and reading your posts.
EP 9 SPOILERS
I just found it quite funny (though childish) how she tried to make him jealous. I was half expecting a Kim Sam Soon sortish development, like “Yeobo, what are you doing here with another man? You, stay away from my wife!” But I was happy with what I saw at the very end of the episode - made my heart jump with excitement, can’t wait for the next ep.
I can’t even really feel that sorry for Sang Hee atm because, like you, I didn’t see him having any romantic feelings for Ah Jung. Well, we’ll see, hope this drama stays as good, entertaining and addicting as it’s been so far. And agreed, I wouldn’t mind some more kissing scemes either! :P

LOL. =) Those trails are quite something, aren’t they? I just started to laugh (because it was obvious what would happen) when I saw them passing the dangerous path the very first time and Gi Joon insisting that a new more visible warning sign should be placed there asap. Cliché number XWZ, check!
I envy you for the fact that you can actually watch dramas together with someone. Must be fun. I’m grateful there’s MDL and all you dears, but still… Guess I need to convert someone. One of my friends? My little sister? My mom? Granny? Godmother? Cousin? Who would be the weakest and easiest victim? Muahahaha… :P
