bbybeluga wrote: I agree. The ending was as satisfying as Thanksgiving dinner---nothing groundbreaking, but it tied up all the ends nicely, and it gave us a proper send off. Literally. I'm grateful that the Hong Sisters skipped what for me plagued the other two HS dramas I've seen, You're Beautiful and Gumiho: non-sensical and angsty forced separation between the two leads. Honestly, the unnecessary angst, which I've heard is part of the hallmark of their dramas, is a major turn-off for me, especially since I hate it when I know that the writer is doing it just to wring out tears from the audience. Here, the tears I cried welled up naturally as a result from the moving nature of the story, and I appreciated that. I think in that way the Greatest Love reveals the maturation of the Hong Sisters style. I can't say this show is without its flaws, but they were negligible enough, and I do think that overall this is one of the strongest dramas aired so far this year. =)

Wow, yeah, in total agreement, honestly, I can't remember the last drama that aired this year that I kept up with and finished (awful right?) but this one I have.. You should watch some of the other HS drama's..
[EPs 15 and 16 SPOILERISH]

Okay, just finished eps 15 and 16 and I have to say I'm feeling happy and satisfied. :)

After episode 14 I was a bit concerned whether the next episode would be long, miserable and tearful but it wasn't and I'm glad. I think that this way the drama stayed true to its colours: light and funny, still full of emotion. I hate it, too, when there's too much unnecessary misery and angst caused by a separation at the end. So compared to that possible plot twist, I happily accept the abruptish time jump to the moment when Dokko came back, strong and helthy. Even though the two final episodes were basically just slowly wrapping the whole story up, I enjoyed watching them. There was chemistry and humour and it didn't got to too sugary. They were just cute and endearing and there was enough time to say goodbye to all of the characters.

This drama wasn't perfect in every aspect but I enjoyed watching it most of the time and it gave me many good laughs. I don't think it was supposed to be taken too seriously - although it still managed to move me. Chae Seung Won really is something - and the Hong sisters, too, for creating such a character for him to play! Special mention goes to Ding Dong (cannot remember his "real name"!) He and Dokkojin had a really great relationship and it was a pleasure to watch the scenes with the two of them together.

Kamsahamnida, I had fun watching this drama and also discussing about it with you guys! :)
Am already on 8th episode! Guys, I'm crazy about this drama... Can't stop!!! Ottoke~!!!
Loving the leads SO MUCH! Laughed so much already... It's getting better and better with every episode!!!
I just noticed it doesn't have the misunderstanding cliche in it...Even when Dokko Jin sill doesn't know that she actually fed his fish and didn't lie about the pen...He's beside her, even coming to her help openly!!! I'm LOVING his drama MORE with every episode!
The lead male is a killer...I can now remember how he was yelling about his panties :DDD And his reverence for her to come out :) And when he lifted her up when she was wearing that awful frog costume...so many unforgettable moments!!!!

If I hadn't been so stubborn in my dislike for HS dramas *hides* I would have joined the train sooner....lol

I watched the first episode while the drama was in its first episodes, but for some reason I couldn't get past the first episode. I just wanted to kick Dokko for being such a *bleep* and an *bleep*, but I decided to give it another try yesterday before deciding if I was going to drop it or not and I can't believe what I almost missed out on. I love this drama for all the reasons stated before.

I also love the meta in the drama and how they talk about love lines like us viewers do.

For a moment there, I thought he was going to die, and it made all those "spending-time-together-is-precious" scenes difficult to watch without shedding a few tears.

I also love that from almost dismissing this drama because of my dislike for the main male character, I came to love him so much. He had me a roller-coaster of emotions: from hating to pitying and then finally loving him. Chan Seung Won did a wonderful job with this character.

This one has definitely made its way to my top favorite dramas.
I cannot describe in words how much I loved watching this drama! I put this drama on hold for a bit because of the main female lead but man was I wrong, the lead actress (I forget her name) played her part as Ae Jung great! Cha Seung Won played Dok Go Jin perfectly and his random english phrases were funny too! I loved this drama especially because no matter what happened Dok Go Jin stayed by Ae Jung's side. I actually didn't hate any characters except for the guy who used to be tvhe National Treasure Girls' manager. The person who annoyed me the most was the doctor though. One of the most memorable parts was when Dok Go Jin announced he loved Ae Jung on TV and a funny part was when Dok Go Jin's manager was acting gay when he was drunk lol, that was hilarious! I will definately watch this over again after I get this series on dvd!
Aah this drama...you got a perfect 10/10 from me :)

I loved e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. about this!

Dok Go Jin is super charming and funny, and Yoon Pil Joo is the gorgeous doc who made me suffer from SLS (Second lead syndrome) <3 This drama was a roller coaster of emotions, and still a complete laugh riot! I'd rate this as the best Hong Sisters' drama, at least for me :) This was my 1st Cha Seung Won drama, and I have to say, he stole the show! His acting was amazing ^^

The fact that I remember the names of all the character 2 months after I finished the series goes on to say just how much I loved it <3

If you like Cha Seung Won in this you definitely need to check out City Hall. Also a great drama, was the first time I saw him. He plays a similar, but different, unique character.

That is.....if you haven't already seen. In which case my suggestion will have gone unnoticed. I would check your list but for some reason MDL won't let me view other people's lists. The session times out before it loads. :(

I had no interest in City Hall before I saw Greatest Love, and then I put it on my list straight away. I really want to see him in something else to see if I like the actor as much as I liked the character of Dokko Jin.

Before GREATEST LOVE he was playing the bad ass in ATHENA: Goddess of War.

You should definitely check him out in the movie 71: Into the Fire.
I started watching this after the heaviness of Princess Man (Which I absolutely loved ^^), this is sucha nice change of pace, it's a lovable drasma and I love the actress, loved her in Pasta- her character had wnderful chemistry with Chef *_* I am really find of her acting. ASnd this is another lovabe show that doesn;lt seem to take itself too seriously and I'm enjoying hiw the characters develo;, I have watched 4 episodes already and the ride is soo fun, I do like this actor character Dokko Jin haha ^^
I finished. It was an honour to watch it ^^ Really loved the two main characters, tough the doctor was rather annoying I recommend Pasta for actually similar theme of falling in love in the workplace coupled with a great dose of humour, fun and cuteness. Also, this drama makes a point: don't be obsessive about your idls, respect their lives.
Most iof the time the show doesn't treat itself seriously and parodies a lot of things but still manages to make a point.
wow Bladey u finished a drama in a day lol it takes me weeks
lol when I get hooked on to a drama I usually watch until I finish, that usually takes me a day or two :D Esepcially if the dramas are only about 25 episodes (which is really what I like) I only do it when I don;t have anything else to do, however.
