Unexpected really. Initially it was supposed to be a slice-of-life drama with some possible romance. Now the Romance tag has been removed. It's different from your usual "slice-of-life" for sure.

The main thing is, it's a lot darker than I expected, like A LOT. However, I usually like tvN dramas. Great camera work + cinematography, but their story is not for everybody (at least tvN dramas have better writer than OCN ones imo).

I'm still having trouble judging it 4 episodes in.

My Mister. Oh God, it's really good so far. Dark slice of life with incredible writing and cinematography. I can't even predict what will happen in the next episode..

Laughter in Waikiki is hands down the only thing that is making me eager to watch every other episode.
