"Fermented Family" fun story, starts off at 1.563%

"Fermented Family" had an exciting start off with an acceptable viewing percentage for a general service program.

According to the AGB Nielson Media Research on the 8th, the first episode of JTBC drama "Fermented Family" on the 7th rated 1.563%. This is the best percentage among all general service channel programs.
This is a similar percentage to the drama "Padam Padam…His and Her Heartbeats" and it seems that JTBC is at least holding the steadiest percentage out of all weekday dramas. "Padam Padam" rated 1.601% in the first episode and 1.601% in the second.
In "Fermented Family" on this day, Ki Ho-tae (Song Il-gook) and Lee Kang-san (Park Jin-hee) met for the first time with paprika kimchi and apricot flower kimchi in the center. Kang-san was angered by Ho-tae saying that her salad wasn't delicious.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun "9 O'Clock News" rated 0.399%, Channel A "News 830" rated 0.378% and MBN "It Came It Came" rated 0.225%.
[Spoiler] "Fermented Family" Song Il-gook has a perfect sense of taste

In the tasty drama "Fermented Family", Song Il-gook became the ultimate taster.
On the JTBC drama "Fermented Family" Ho-tae advised Kang-san to use vinegar instead of lemons in her salad dressing and proved that he indeed has a perfect sense of taste.
When Italian restaurant chef Kang-san (Park Jin-hee) asked what's wrong with her salad to Ho-tae (Song Il-gook), he complained that the sauce was too sweet and didn't have flavor. Ho-tae told her, "What kind of a chef doesn't even know how to season food? It's too sweet". Kang-san defended herself saying, "You ordered the honey lemon sauce".
Tae-ho advised her to use vinegar instead of lemon. She then argued back, "The sauce you complain about is just great to other customers". However, just to make sure, when she went back into the kitchen, she changed the lemon to vinegar and tasted it, saying to herself, "Why didn't I know this before?"
"Fermented Family" is a human drama about the many peculiar customers that visit a Korean restaurant and the many events that happen there.
I'm not sure I'll watch this.

1. There's no eye candy.
2. There's no eyetamins.
3. The trailer was annoying.
4. The story doesn't really interest me.

I will not try to convince you to watch this drama. Actually my only reason why I will watch this drama is because of Song Il Gook. His acting NEVER dissapointed me. Since he is one of the most popular and apprecied actors, I don't think that I'm the only one who thinks like this. Maybe the story seems annoying but I think it is at least original than another dramas with a plot inspired by various dramas. About eye-candies... Everyone has its own taste.

I'm not really a fan of Song Il Gook. I've only watched him very briefly in Jumong and I wasn't impressed. I didn't say the story was annoying, I mentioned the TRAILER was annoying and the STORY, which doesn't really strike me as original (things seldom are in this day and age), didn't interest me. And yes, we all have different tastes, which is why I'm very thankful for variety in programming.

How many episodes of Jumong have you seen? Because at begining it's the story of his parents and he appears later. First 30 episodes are for details and of course that the first impression about this drama isn't very good. That's why a long drama needs patience: you won't see Jumong being a mature character or a touching love story from the start( although his parent's story is quite sad too). I said that the story seems original to me because it doesn't start with clichées. It's impossible to know how the story will continue.

I saw three episodes. I was bored, I dropped it. Why waste over 81 hours in something that didn't grab me from the start? lol I can't sympathize with Jumong's parents "love" story because I just didn't feel it had enough basis. I can't go into details here in case anyone is willing to watch it, but that just seemed like a high school girl's crush on an idol.

Who knows? This drama might be good. I had my reservations about two other dramas and I ended up loving them, but I only started watching them because they already had a cast I had seen acting in other dramas and, for me,their characters stood out in those, so I decided to watch something else with them.

Only 3 episodes.. it's like nothing. I think that his parents story last only 5 or 6 episodes so you can skip that and watch from where Jumong story begins. :D
Maybe this drama was made to watch it only on tv. Because it had high ratings in all countries where it aired. Even in my country was the most watched drama of the year (it aired last year) and that's really impressing because Romanian public isn't addicted to these kind of dramas.
About watching a drama with a known cast it is the same for me too, although you can be dissapointed by one of that type of dramas too. :D

Well, I'm glad Jumong had such success. But I already gave Jumong 3 chances: Ep. 1, Ep. 2 & Ep. 3 (which is by the way more than I give any drama.) It failed to impress me, it went to the rubbish bin. End of story. LOL
lol war

( `_)乂(_' )
what is it good for ...huh.... :p
Well...I'm going to give this a chance. I like the premise and I like Song Il Guk but...I have dropped two of his dramas and probably should have dropped the one I didn't drop! lol!

Jumong is epic and sweeping and has gotten tons of critical and popular raves. But I'm really with Lis on this one. Maybe 81 episodes are just too daunting for me. Maybe I can only handle Sauguk-lite (Sauguks that are 30 eps or less) but I dropped this like it was hot...Even knowing it probably was a good loooooong show.

Crime Squad is gritty and started out great. I was really interested in the set up of a crime solved a week with the undercurrent of the new relationship (whether it turned romantic or not!) with the up and coming journalist helping him solve the crimes. but somewhere around episode 10 or 11 it sort of lost me. I put it on hold and I don't think I have dropped it yet.

A Man Called God...God his hair was poo in that. All I remember is that his hair was poo. And his leading lady said the name "Michael" over and over in this really annoying way. How did I finish this?

Anyway...Fermentation Family...I'm still going to give you a watch and a chance. We'll see!!!
I don't think I'll watch this one, it just doesn't seem like the type of drama I'd get into and I don't know any of the actors. Plus I have a ton of drama on my PTW D: haha
