Last year and now, I still think XL destiny too cruel, because his life miserable from beginning, and his adult life it's do everything for other (adoptive father, soldiers, later XY) and nothing for himself 

Like even ending, every character get something for themselves, CX his dream unite kingdom, now he most powerful man in that universe, and I can imagine one day he will meet someone for his heart, he also still have A Nian who very dear and close for him person

Jing got huge HE without doing nothing, without trying deal with his brother, abandon his kid, so now he without any responsibilities can happy live with XY

XY lost XL, but she got everything she want at the beginning, thanks to him 

And what about XL, what he got at the end wasn't for him , as his whole life he died for soldiers not even of his county or race, and his happiness to know XY will be happy. Isn't it too cruel?

Even XY parents had tragic life, bit they still have their happy moments, their epic mutual love 

So for me perfect ending will be , XL one life left , he reborn as snake, and has his life for his own , finely be free and love for himself, and I also sure he will meet someone so much better then XY for him
