Guys, I am curious about somesthing.  XY's ost, not sure what it's called, the one with "i am willing to spend the rest of my life with you" was ever played for yaojing? I know it's been played for yaoliu a few times, once when she was crying because XL wasn't there when she wake up from her coma and again when FFBei died, but what about yaojing? I believe they did use it one time, but I am not sure for what scene. I saw that next week they will use it for CX-XY.

I'm not sure which song is that ... is it Favor of Mortal Fireworks?  I'm pretty sure they've used that for Jing too, for some reason.

 Kokuto:

It's possible that the song in question is the character XY's song

[OST] Lost You Forever S1《长相思 第

一季》 | Xiaoyao's Theme Song《长相 思》“Chang Xiang Si" by Yu Kewei

I've never heard that song played for yaojing. Maybe I've missed it?

 liddi:
Various scenes here and there were cut, but not any of the important ones. Thus far, we are consistently about 1 episode behind in terms of the leaked script, bearing in mind that the leaked script only covered 20 episodes if we followed how they ended each episode. In other words, there is probably about 3 episodes worth of footage unaccounted for. Which leaves me with hope that whatever extra scenes they filmed, might address the issues we were concerned about.

Wow.  It IS going to be interesting to see what they are going to do with those extra episodes... though isn't four episodes, if the script only had 20 episodes?

 liddi:
Yup. In Once Promised, he is described as a strong, seven foot tall man, a powerful, fierce warrior. Here, he does not appear imposing at all, and in later parts of the script, it appears Xiang Liu keeps him safe, refusing to let him even participate in any of the skirmishes. Is it just to keep him safe, or is he still suffering from old battle injuries from the final Xuan Yuan-Shen Nong battle at Ji Province? No idea. I don't even know how badly he was injured in that battle since I have not properly read that chapter yet.

Uhnnnn, no, that wasn't Hong Jiang at all, but I'm not surprised if he doesn't match up physically.  If XL is trying to keep him out of skirmishes, it does sound like he might be injured.  That would be even more reason for XL's inflexible loyalty.  IIRC, he returned Hong Jiang, when he was at a low, for some reason.  Maybe it was from some injury or failing of his health.

 liddi:
But yes. if Xiang Liu had chosen to put his happiness before theirs, where does that leave his men? In an earlier scene, Jing Ye already to Jing that winter was coming, and with shortage of food and clothes on the mountains, the Shen Nong remnant army's lives will surely get even harder - something Xiang Liu was well aware of and did his best to alleviate their suffering, even if he had to pay a steep price for it.

Yeah, and in that scene, Jing made it out like he was doing it out of the goodness of his heart, whereas, he was actually paying for the wedding robbery.

But when you actually see what XL is doing, you realize that there is no way he could leave.

 liddi:
He is all kinds of awesome. There was a very funny meme on Weibo of him behind bars, with a caption that said "Cang Xuan, don't worry. You go ahead and confess your feelings. This time we have restrained Grandpa", to which Grandpa's actor Hou Changrong said "Please remember to let me out after the drama has ended." LOL!

I love that!  "Please let me out when the drama ends."  That would apply to all of us.  lol

Does ni means you in chinese? Someone said you can hear a ni when XY collapses into XL's arms after she refuses ro asnwer the last question. I have no idea if it's the right sound or not, but I can definetely hear a clear ni. Might be unintentional though.

It is not clear for me. Moreover, if you remember  in the novel just before falling into sleep  because of the headache, she also said "XL..."
with regard to this part of the Drama, XL in my opinion was so in hurry and tempered that how I picture the scene in my mind. It's clearly said in the novel that he was reluctant to ask the 4th question. Thus it should have had some pauze between the 3th and 4th question.
And in my opinion he should show more distance emotion during that scene. TJC carried too much emotion, and he rushed in that scene

Yes, 你 (ni) means Chinese, but XY doesn't say anything at 3:49. She just sighs as she collapses.

Cool.  I didn't catch either time.

I was a bit surprised that XL didn't seem hesitant about the final question.  However, it makes sense given how he's been acting since he first appeared in season 2 in the casino.  He plays XY to learn who she likes and that question kept coming back thru the episodes.  I believe these scenes weren't in the novel, either.  They also didn't add the closing of the window 3 times scene, but instead deliberately panned to a propped open window, after the 4 questions scene.  So, I think they are trying to show the two love each other, but can't be with each other -- though I still wanted my glowing Lovers Bugs during that scene.

One thing about that scene I didn't realize, but should have, was that XL was also physically effected by the questioning.  Whether it is feeling her pain or the strength of her barrier and his effort, he is staggering  too, when he stops.

This last episode covered catching Tushan Hou and FFYY and their punishments.  I don't know if it was in the book, but it was made clear that Jing is his mother's son.  Apparently, he hasn't actually loved his son, but only been polite when necessary to him.  He manipulated FFYY into a deal, A DEAL, over the safety of the kid.  It's no longer suprising to me that this ... hypocrite would abandon his nephew at the end of the book.

I really wish that Fang Feng Bei and FFYY had some sort of relationship, either good or bad, though I'd have preferred good.

I remember the trailer where he said his heart was tiny and only enough for 1 person.

For me it also indicates his selfishness. He could do a lot of stuff, and he did actually. But in the end those things were motivated and driven by his own desire/benefit.

I am not surprised with his treatment to FFYY's son (his nephew but also adorptive son). Because of that, it is understanable that he could easily abandon the son to escape with XY

Absolute truth from Jing.  This is also why I think he's knowingly manipulative, as well as it being a learned behavior.  He KNOWS what he's doing.

Exactly.  He's as selfish and obsessive as CX, but his fans gaslight and white wash him as 'kind,' and even XY falls for his BS.  It is mindboggling.

 Kokuto:
So, when FFB was mistaken as Chi Chen by the Donkey Meat Seller, cause he was singing Chi Chen's song, he said he picked it up when he was in Baili.  Even though it sounded like he hadn't met the "Wu King" do you think that trip is where he learned how he could remove the Lovers Bug?

You do have a point there. My take is slightly different. I think before he visited the Lirong old donkey meat seller, he went to Bai Li, not to remove the Lovers' bug yet, but find out how it can be removed. Based on what he told the old man, it probably was a fruitless trip and he was refused by the Shaman King because he was considered an outsider. Hence his surprise when the old Lirong donkey meat seller insisted that the Shaman King would definitely agree to help them remove the bug once he saw Xiao Yao. But we know that up to the end, they never went to Bai Li together.

It is possible that after Xiao Yao's parentage was known to the world, he went back to see the Shaman king again, and revealed that he planted it with Chi Chen's daughter, to which the Shaman King might have told taught him the extreme method of using his own lives to destroy the bugs, a method only possible because he had nine lives. And he kept the bugs until he knew his end was near, upon which he used the most cruel method possible to ensure their bug connection and her love for him was severed.

You're right. Strictly speaking, it is probably 3.5 episodes. However, it also depends on how the episodes are edited. Ep10 ends halfway through scene 13 of what was originally Ep11 of the leaked script. Either way, it seems to be a lot of unaccounted for footage.

The last scene from the leaked script, with CX and Ah Nian în Qs Town, when CX starts running after someone because he thought it's XY sounds so similar to the scene when XY starts running after someone în the gambling den, because she believed îs XL.

Didn't it also start that way?  With CX running after a woman who had a mark on her forehead?

Oh you're right. It's basically ending the way it started, just that now CX is the emperor and XY got the companion she wanted.
