I would like a kdrama where the female lead has some kind of secret that she hides from the male lead, but he discovers it very early in the drama and pretends not to know in front of the female lead — let's say because he thinks if she knew he knows she’s going to distance herself, or he finds her attempts to hide it cute, stuff like that. I would like it to stay in that state for the majority of the drama. Does a drama like that exist?

YES !

Be aware that my suggestation could be a spoiler since we don't know the ML will discover the secret and not telling the FL in the first episodes :

  • When the Phone Rings (It takes a long time for him to discover it and a few more episodes for the ML to realize he knows)
  • Love 020 (it's more about her real identity than a secret)

My unicorn girl
In this drama female lead pretends  to   be a boy and male lead got to know these secret in starting episodes but he pretends not to know till the very end.

 Dejes:
When the Phone Rings (It takes a long time for him to discover it and a few more episodes for the ML to realize he knows)

But does he hide that he knows because of any of the reasons I mentioned above?

 Dejes:
Love 020 (it's more about her real identity than a secret)

Would appreciate Korean dramas only, lately can't stand Chinese language, it makes my ears bleed even though years ago I watched like 2-3 Taiwanese ones.

 AimanAli:
My unicorn girl

As mentioned above, but thank you anyway.

It's a pretty big secret and it's something she does against him though he forgave her the very moment he acknowledged she was behind it. I guess, my interpretation of it would be, he wants her to tell him without him to force her into it and at the same time he  is afraid of her reaction when she'll know that he knows

They didn't show that they knew but at some point it was revealed that they knew the secrets from the beginning:

  • Moving (Jo In Sung's character knew that Han Hyo Jo's character is a spy, but he let her get close in purpose since he liked her)
  • My Lovely Liar (Once meet at a bus where FL defended ML so ML knew FL was a lie detector since then)
  • Love in Contract (as a judge, ML once saw FL in the court so ML knew about FL's secrets)

Not a perfect match really, but "Healer" might be something similar.
