My favorite coming of age drama are
Gloomy Salad Days- (taiwan)don't let the name fool you, this is a fairly dark high school drama. This story involves death in the form of a young girl who haunts the school taking souls. There are various stories about different issues modern high school teens face and how/if they are able to overcome them. There is also a main story about a student at the school who is able to see death as he tries to figure out her story, and why he is the only one able to see her.
LIFE- (japan) this is another dark high school drama. It is centered around bulling and how the students deal with it.
MARS-(taiwan) tells the story of the colleges bad boy and the quiet and reserved good girl. This is a story of how the unlikely couple is able to face and overcome their demons together.
