Is there a guide to Profile bio customization?

Hi I'm looking for a guide that breaks down to the basics & steps. 

Like in MAL user profile, where you can do things like adding a  [b] & [/b} before & after a sentence in order to bold it. I'm trying to do the same on MDL. But no luck, same goes for gifs, photos, spoiler, etc.
