Ads that take up my whole screen

I keep getting adverts that take up my entire screen with no way to exit out of them.  They say 'scroll to continue with content', but even when I do that, it doesn't go away.

When I try to view the 'Episode Guide' of any show it appears after a couple seconds.

I am having the same problem, and I suspect that these ads are the reason MDL is no longer a featured link when I google things (only Viki and IMDB)

It looks like it's trying to load the embedded (sometimes Korean) McD's ad as a pop-over, so there's no x to press to make it go away.
