This show is just so damn sweet. He's so aloof and distant at first, but you slowly watch him thaw and get more and more touchy, clingy, cutesy, and naughty.... sneaking into her room for a kiss, or kissing her in public to announce that they're together. He was also sooooo dedicated to her and you could see how much she made him come out of his shell. The supporting cast will always be my favourite. They're just WAY too cute. I love that there were no breakups and no SFL that was catty and prone to mischief. Even the SML of the ex-boyfriend wasn't really a "thing" because the FL was so assured in how she didn't want him any more.

Re-watch in 2021!
I forgot how cute this one was. The relationship was incredibly healthy and very supportive. Part of me was irritated at the focus on her 'tummy fat' etc, but the reassurance that it was about her being healthy and living a long life rather than being more attractive made it tolerable. He also fell for her before she lost all the weight, which was nice to see. I adored the UFC boy. He had a violent past with lots of anger, but because he had 'hyung' take him in he turned into a little puppy man that cried during romantic movies. His story arc with his mom was cute too. The other American friend was adorable too, but his acting was cringy at times. Overall this show was well done without too many drug out melodramas. Things were resolved well and I now have a thing for older men.

Re-Watch May 2022
This was still an adorable re-watch. The ML will forever be prominent in my fantasies and will be the face of most ML's in books I read. I see comments about how people couldn't finish this series, but I found it engaging from start to finish, the lead characters were well developed, and their personalities were very individual and unique. The actor that plays the ML got a lot of flack for his most recent drama for being a bad actor and appearing emotionless and wooden, but he was fantastic in this show. He was very expressive and good at portraying emotions. The story didn't feel too fast or too slow and gave me all the feels! The SML also gave me some pretty extreme SLS for most of the show, especially when he kept getting rejected but couldn't help loving her because of the red string of destiny. Heartbreaking :'(

Re-Watch: June 4th, 2023
Re-Watch 2021. This show had SO MANY tropes... wrist grabs, princess catches galore, "gastritis" and a hospital visit... you name it, it was here. BUT the cheese it brought was delicious and I found myself laughing through every episode. The FL was a bit too abusive with her "hoobae" suitor, the ML, and her brother at times. The romance was sugary sweet and the whole "he's been in love with her since the day she started" is absolutely my new kink. Ahhhh to be loved like that.

Re-Watch March 2022
Something about this show catches me and holds me when I watch it. Maybe it’s the initial hate turning slowly into love, or maybe it’s the epic chemistry between the ML and FL. The humour is on-point and the supporting cast is absolutely fabulous. Some people hated this drama because it was “hard to understand” but I’d say those people just don’t have any kind of IQ because it’s all very simple to follow. Some of the ideas are more existential but not hard to follow. The re-watch of this show made my heartache in new ways and made me fall more in love with Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young. They’re both such fantastic actors and seeing them together in such a deep and loving role was just ✨chef’s kiss✨.

36. Sh**ting Stars
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Re-Watch: February 25th, 2023
I forget how cute this show was. The ML was so jealous and possessive and adorable. Once the ML and FL get together the relationship is very healthy and there are no breakups or relationship stress. They're both very loving and supportive of each other for the whole show, and the ML was obviously in love with the FL right from the very beginning.

ARGH the mom is such a fucking BITCH. Not a single damn scene endears her to me until the last couple episodes. She's so mean to her husband and the FL while she treats the other kids well. ANGER.

40. Run On
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Re-Watch October 2022
Ok, I liked this drama the first time around but I struggled with really loving the ML and the SFL. On the re-watch the ML seemed less like an alien and the SFL seemed less like a bitch. I skipped most of the SFL and SML's story since I wasn't invested in it, but I didn't hate her as much. I still really disliked how she treated her younger brother, he was so cute and just wanted her to love him.

44. Moonlight
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
Re-Watch August 2022
36 episodes was a bit long, but it was still a great show. Some of the pacing with the relationship was a little slow for the first half, but still watchable. The FL was annoying at times, with her voice being the main irk, but they at least showed her a competent in her career despite being juvenile in her relationship. The ML is always my favourite. He's so pretty! and also kind, thoughtful (further into the series), and caring. and SUPER jealous and clingy haha. His NEED for kisses was hilarious. This show still get s a 10/10 from me after the re-watch.

46. Another Miss Oh
Korean Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
Re-Watch August 2022 - 15/18 episodes
Watched to get through a dry spell. Forgot about a lot of it, skipped huge chunks involving the second leads. Got too dry to keep going. Dropped my rating from 10.0 to 8.0 after the re-watch. This was one of my first dramas so I didn't have much to relate my enjoyment to. Definitely lacking now that I've seen hundreds of dramas.

52. Love with Flaws
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
Re-Watch: January 2022
Technically a half-re-watch since I completed 25/32 episodes then went back and started from the beginning. Cute drama, but forgettable. The most memorable scenes are when the ML is humiliating himself (shitting his pants, getting a boner, etc). For some reason the relationship felt rushed. The brothers were all adorable and loved the FL so much even though they were step brothers and a half brother. The end would have been more touching if it was a more romantic wedding dress reveal... very predictable ending with the dress though.

53. Nevertheless,
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Re-Watch January 2022
Watching this as a binge rather than waiting from week to week for episodes made this a better show I think. It was easier to see the ML's progression from emotionless playboy to emotional playboy to jealous playboy to FL obsessed playboy. At least he stayed relatively true to his character. I still loved Potato Boy a lot, but F#ckboy seemed like a better fit for NaBi. She was pretty damaged in some ways herself, so hopefully they grew together.
-
54. Oh My Ghost
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Re-watch September 2021.
Still a cute re-watch since it was one of my first K-dramas. Interesting mix of romance, mystery, thriller, etc. I felt so bad for the possessed cop, his own personality was lovely. The friendship of all the chefs was hilarious to watch. The hot chef (Cordon) was so cute in how he took care of Bong Sun and accepted her when she was herself and not the ghost. The skinship and slightly more mature nature of the subject matter was refreshing, since so many dramas avoid the topic of sex.

56. Something about 1 Percent
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Cute as a re-watch, although now that I have more experience with K-dramas it lost some of its lustre on the second watch. The plot moved very smoothly and felt very realistic in the timeline. There was no super sudden change from hate to love and it all felt very natural. There was no real SML in this one, and the SFL was very brief and more of just a blip. The idol felt thrown in because he didn't develop the plot line at all, and initially it felt like he would be more pivotal to the storyline regarding jealousy. They started portraying him as having a crush on the FL but dropped it quickly, then only showed him dancing in a couple episodes and he no longer had much role or any lines. I don't know if that was to simplify the plot because of the ML's crazy stalker ex, or because something happened with the idol's filming schedule. Sadly it felt like a pretty big omission or plot hole. The ML's younger sister also never got any follow up. They had a scene where it seemed they would develop a storyline with her and the idol, but that disappeared quickly. There was no confirmation if she went back to Canada or stayed in Korea.
That being said, I do love these Devil King ML's that turn into mushy marshmallows. Please sir, can I have some more?

57. A Korean Odyssey
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
This show... ALL the feels. Lee Seung Gi is such a fantastic actor. The range of emotions this show gives me every time I watch it is NO joke. The hate-to-love dynamic is SO well done that it's hard to tell when it changes from fake love due to the spell/geumggango to a real, abiding "Here is a piece of my soul so that I will always be able to find you, no matter where you are" type love. The twists and turns of the story always keep me engaged, and they gave me SUCH a soft spot for Pal Kye (piggy). He loved his zombie brother so much, it's sad he didn't get to say good bye to her. And when Jade Dragon gave his life for him.... ah... so sad. The scene when he's looking at the picture and says "i'm the last one left" rips my heart out. Also the fact that Son Oh Gong did/would destroy the world for Seun Mi when she died in the film... ah chills. 100/10
