"Nobu" is a bar located on a not-so-busy street in Kyoto. The front entrance of the bar is connected to the alternate world of "Aiteria,” which is like medieval Europe. People from Aiteria visit the bar Nobu. Nobuyuki Yazawa was once a chef at a high-end restaurant, but he is now the owner of Nobu. Shinobu Senke works as a waitress for the bar. She is bright, smart and pretty. The bar's cold beer "Toriaezu Nama" becomes popular, and the bar thrives. Customers from Aiteria with various backgrounds, like soldiers, merchants, and noblemen, have a good time at Nobu.

Ryuji, Satoru and Atsushi are friends in high school. They are classmates in the 2nd grade class B. They appear like troubled students, but they are not. They are actually country boys. When they are at their secret place, they suddenly feel a big shake and hear the sound of thunder. Then next moment, they see a man Sanpei wearing a dirty military uniform with a backpack and holding a bayonet. Sanpei came from the past, right before the end of the war in Guam. Ryuji, Satoru and Atsushi enjoy their time with Sanpei. They think that being with Sanpei, their lives might change and they ask him to spend summer with them. Class President Michifumi and twin brothers Akihiko and Kazuhiko join the group.

Shunsuke works part-time at a cafe owned by his uncle Takehiko. One night, a woman, who is dressed like a traditional oiran (high ranking courtesan), appears in front of him. The woman's name is Senka. Apparently, she just travelled across time from the Edo period to the present day and she looks completely lost. Shunsuke takes her to his uncle's house where he also stays. Senka stays at Takehiko's house and also begins to work part-time at his cafe. Senka gets people's attention due to her appearance and behavior. Meanwhile, Shunsuke goes to the library to find information about Senka. He learns that Senka was a legendary oiran in the Edo period.

Nagisa Mio, an oceanographer at Shibaura University of Marine Science and Technology, is very interested in fish and loves the sea. Despite her cheerful smile and kind, good-natured personality, she is reticent about her family and past. The members are emergency care professionals who go to sites of dangerous accidents and disasters using ER cars. Their ER car is a large vehicle equipped with the latest medical devices and an operating area where Tokyo MER saves the lives of the injured. Kitami Kota is a doctor for Tokyo MER and its leader. To hire the black market surgery team, a fee of 100 million yen in cash is required as well as an NDA requirement and chocolate. The team are able to save the lives of patients no matter the circumstances, but a newspaper reporter begins to chase after them.

Yamihara Kokoro and Asada Toramatsu live in a town that is quite peaceful, until a serial murder case happened where the bodies all had their blood drained out. Five years have passed but the case remains unsolved. Meanwhile, Kokoro and Toramatsu have been in a relationship for a year, but are unable to get married as they are keeping a serious secret from each other. Kokoro is actually a vampire. However, she does not attack humans and live modestly. Toramatsu is a popular resident in the town and is trusted by many. After getting a divorce, Toramatsu got drunk and went back to his old house, where he met Kokoro, the current occupant. As the two continue to keep their secrets hidden, a horrific murder occurs once again in the town.

While Hasebe Kaori and Kai Chihiro look into this murder case for their movie, a shocking truth is uncovered.

Tokino Mitani runs a watch shop, located on a street far from the downtown area. She is 20-years-old and inherited the watch shop from her grandfather. Unknown to most, she is also an excellent private detective and offers an alibi cracking service. She can crack someone's false alibi by using logic based on time and a watch. She gets paid 5,000 yen for that service. Yoshiyuki Saji was an elite police officer, but he attempted to uncover corruption within the police department. This caused Yoshiyuki Saji to receive a demotion to a police station in a rural city. He moves alone there, leaving behind his wife and child. He lives at a boarding house, where Tokino Mitani lives. Yoshiyuki Saji does not get along with the other detectives there. He struggles to solve a case, and he hears about Tokino Mitani's ability as an alibi cracker. He doesn't want to ask for her help because of his pride as a police officer, but ends up requesting her help on a case.

The "Lion's House" is the name of a hospice located on a beautiful island. The people who live there are people with a short life expectancy. Shizuku, a 29-year-old who has been told how long she has to live at a young age, comes to live out the rest of her life there. She feels a bit regretful over not being able to improve her relationship with her family before coming. At the "Lion's House", snack time is a time where the residents are allowed to request a snack from their oldest memories but Shizuku is unable to choose. The days of laughter and tears begin alongside the other residents. What does Shizuku find and leave behind in the last days of her life?

45-year-old Mitsuo Komae works for an advertising company. He gets demoted from the head office in Tokyo to a branch office in the province. He has to leave his wife and daughter in Tokyo to work at the branch office. There, Mitsuo Komae begins work as the branch office manager, which only has 2 employees. Needing to pay for the mortgage on his house and support his student daughter, he seeks ways to increase sales. One day, Mitsuo Komae receives a phone call from a client. The client is CEO Tatsuzaki. Mitsuo Komae’s branch office made leaflets for CEO Tatsuzaki's company, but a silly mistake was made in the leaflets. CEO Tatsuzaki is furious. Making things even worse, CEO Tatsuzaki is a yakuza. Mitsuo Komae is in big trouble.

Asakura Koichi works as a designer at an advertising agency. Even though he works very hard, he does not receive recognition at his job. He is frustrated by his circumstances. He decides to visit a place from his school days, involving Yamagishi Eren. Meanwhile, Yamagishi Eren has the nickname of "The Southpaw" (“Hidarikiki”) and is a painter in New York. She is gifted as a painter, but, due to her genius like talent, she suffers.

The story begins with a girl who has no family, strayed from the right path and lost her perspective in life, meeting a much older woman. Both of them were deceived, betrayed and have lost faith in other people, but somehow they gravitate towards each other and so the older woman gives shelter to the girl. Triggered by a certain incident, the two of them eventually find true humanity.  

Kayashima Naoya, a charismatic hairdresser who finds himself struggling to survive in extreme conditions when the train he is on winds up in a devastated future world where there is no food, water or communication.

Sakurako Ban (Mana Ashida) is a 12-years-old girl and the second child among 4 siblings. Since her mother passed away 6 months ago, she has taken care of house chores alone. Her father, Sota meets American woman Alice Shepherd (Charlotte Kate Fox) in the United States. Alice Shepherd aspires to become a photographer, but currently works part-time. Sota and Alice Shepherd decide to marry on on the spot. Sota takes Alice to Japan and introduces her to his children as their new mother. Sakurako Ban becomes angry and tries to kick her new mother out.

Toyama Kinshiro is a 30-year-old newly-appointed police chief at Kitamachi Police Station who firmly believes his mission as a policeman is to listen to every voice of innocent citizens and protect the peace in the community. He comes off as aloof and a bit quirky at first, but in fact he has brilliant investigative instincts and spots clues that no one else can detect. Unlike his elite career bureaucrat colleagues, Kinshiro doesn't dress or act like a stereotypical Chief Police. Rather than sitting behind a desk, Kinshiro leaves the office and literally goes around town to do the investigation work, and go the extra mile to solve any crime regardless how small or trivial. However, his unorthodox approach generates a lot of antagonism from his subordinates at Kitamachi Police Station.

Matsumoto Mao is supposed to become the new medical examiner and visit the USA at the age of 10. While there, she is to study advanced placement 3rd year Forensics. She has an IQ of over 150. Suddenly, she becomes like an ordinary person, confusing everybody except Kyoko. A rush of bodies come in for autopsy. A middle-aged man who apparently fell for a scaffolding at a construction site comes in. Mao begins the autopsy without a speck of the days' exhaustion showing. She discovered that he did not simply hit his head while falling.

To deal with the increasing violent crime rate in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo, a special investigation team is formed at the Shinjuku Police Station. Detective Shunsuke Yamashita and Detective Keiichi Tashiro begin work at the special investigation team. 

Detective Shunsuke Yamashita doesn't care about details and says what he thinks. Meanwhile, Detective Keiichi Tashiro is diligent and enthusiastic with his investigative work. The two men frequently argue, but also cooperate to solve the cases.

An email message from a girl who had gone missing on a school excursion 20 years ago leads five former classmates to meet again and get embroiled in a baffling incident: 35-year-old Misumi Keiko, an editor who was suddenly laid off from the literary department of the publishing company where she works; Midobara Takako, once adored by guys when she was a junior high school student and now a housewife involved in sex for money; Akiyoshi Miya, a musician facing a setback; Higashihagi Koji, who has become a detective but is content with being a sergeant forever; and Sabajima Yutaka, a divorced bank employee. These five former classmates now become involved in a strange case.

After unexpectedly losing her husband Shin, Koharu works hard to provide for her two children, Nozomi and Riku, despite facing financial hardships. When denied assistance at the social welfare office, Koharu reveals her estrangement from her mother Sachi, who left her and her father two decades ago. A brilliant general medicine doctor dreams only of becoming a famous dancer. He returns to Japan to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry only to find out the agency he signed up with was a sham. He stays in Japan and works part-time in a run-down GM center solving baffling medical mysteries. All the while he plans for his dancing comeback.  

Odagiri Kyoko is a flashy clairvoyant TV personality who has celebrities and politicians as clients. Yet in reality she is just a regular girl with no special power. She conducts solid detective work to solve mysteries, then passes off the results as her psychic visions.

The story follows a family of Japanese immigrants who crossed over to America 99 years ago. Kusanagi plays both the young Hiramatsu Chokichi (later taken over by Nakai) and his son, Ichiro. When the war breaks out the Japanese immigrants face racism and segregation. Ichiro pledges his alliance to America and gets sent to Europe, second son Jiro stays back with Ichiro's beloved Shinobu (who he has a crush on) and tries to protect his parents' farm. Their two sisters Shizu and Sachie are sent back to Japan and have to experience the horrors of war, one in Hiroshima and the other in Okinawa.

One day, all of a sudden, Misaki, the number one hostess of a club in Roppongi becomes a high school teacher! Of all classes, she is appointed as the homeroom teacher for Class 2Z, a special class for the troublemakers at the school. But, with her positive power, she takes the students head-on, without ever giving up!

The drama revolves around a public elementary school beset with problems. Seichiro Naruse is a passionate person, who worked at construction sites for 20 years with a mid-sized general contractor. However, in order to keep a promise he made to his former teacher, he suddenly changes jobs and becomes the principal of his old school, which he must save from closing down.

The comedic series revolves around rookie detective Ichiko Hanamori, whose exceptional dog-like sense of smell is used to solve difficult cases, in addition to earning her the nickname of "Deka Wanko”.

Takagi Mamoru is a bachelor around 40 who works at a stationery maker. He becomes a surrogate father to the twins, Kaoru and Yuki, when his good friend passes away. Now orphans, the level-headed, cheerful Kaoru and her younger brother brace themselves and begin a new life with Mamoru. 

The family has a secret, which is the miniature Schnauzer, Mook, that the twins had picked up one day. Mook speaks human language! While he tenderly watches over the young twins and is their hero, he is at times harsh to Mamoru who makes an unreliable guardian. At other times, he encourages and even moralises. When Mook first started to talk, Mamoru suspected that it was his own mental state. He grows to accept Mook's presence as the one that brings the family together.

Esumi's character Tamami is the "bull doctor" of the show's title, which comes from the word "bulldozer." Ignoring any opposition from the people around her, she uses any means necessary to determine the truth behind the deaths of the bodies she examines. Because of her personality, she is constantly at odds with both Ishihara and Inagaki's characters.  

Can a family hope to recover after losing their mother to suicide? Keiichi Asuda serves his wife, Nagiko divorce papers after he tells her that he intends to marry his mistress. The distraught Nagiko kills herself, leaving her family in turmoil. Keiichi hires Akari Mita to take care of the household. The highly efficient and organized Mita does everything for the Asuda household and helps the four kids – 17-year-old Yui, 14-year-old Kakeru, 12-year-old Kaito and 6-year-old Kii – heal their emotional wounds. But can Mita get over the pains of her own past to truly be a mother to them?

Nagasaku will play the part of Takako, a police detective and a single mother of a child who will soon turn 1 year old. She is described as “dirty” because she doesn’t mind taking bribes or leaking information if it is to her own advantage. The series depicts her battles with the child’s irresponsible father, her police colleagues who only think of protecting themselves, and the criminals in the cases she handles. Karina will play a trainee detective with whom Takako partners.

Amami’s character is going to be that of a legendary musical star who just returned to Japan after several setbacks on the Broadway in New York. Back home, she’s going to use all of her energy and experience to help a Mamasan Korus called “Chansons” from having to break up. In order to do that, she modifies the concept of a chorus by adding dancing to their performance. Naturally, this idea isn’t going well with everyone in the chorus, especially one very conservative housewife (Ishida) aggressively opposes her unconventional ideas.
