31. Suparburoot Jorm Jon: Maturot Lohgan
Thai Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Mike and Mookda have amazing onscreen chemistry. Although there are still a few wtf moments as usually since this is a supernatural/horror lakorn, ignoring that this drama was perfect. The male lead, Seua Pha and the female lead, Nampeung had a great dynamic that made you love both of them despite there being the typical flaws that I'd normally hate in dramas. I liked the western vibe and music and the badassery in general.

34. Perfect and Casual
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
As I'm finally finished with this drama, I'd like to point out that the key characteristic that singled out this drama compared to other Marriage-contract dramas was the obvious and mutual respect they had for one another since the beginning and how they both changed to become better versions of themselves in the relationship.
It's so often you see, the ML acting like a childish, immature, arrogant subhuman before he falls in love with the FL. Then the FL comes in like this bucket of holy water and washes away all of the ML's imperfections and flaws, and thus completely changing the ML into becoming this sweet, caring alpha male that you'd probably never see in real life. And I'm actually fine with this. I don't watch dramas to see realistic portrayals of men and women in a relationship. However, It kinda gets stale at times, and so it was refreshing to see that both the FL and the ML being introduced with their flaws at the start of the drama and later through their relationship and the trials they face, they become smarter and happier people. Also, I loved that the ML didn't jump to label the FL as stupid despite many of her naive decisions, but he sought to understand her and help her grow as a person.
Building upon that, I think it was an ingenious idea to have Si Nian, the ML, be an academician and someone who believes in facts and logic. First off, it's hella cute, and second, he doesn't get himself involved in stupid, avoidable situations that would cause misunderstandings in his relationship with the FL. I like that when he pushes the SFL (his intellectual equal and basically the female version of himself) away he uses statistics (lol) to explain why Yun Shu, the FL, is the better match for him compared to the SFL. -
35. Back to 1989
Taiwanese Drama - 2016, 21 episodes
Marcus's acting is a bit weak here, but I loved the overall story. I don't usually prefer watching time-travel shows, but this one was really good. It had the typical cliche of clumsy fl and competent ml, but the plot made it very interesting to watch. Chen Che, the ml, and Ye Zhen Zhen, the fl, have pretty solid chemistry. While I wasn't very interested in the 2nd couple's story, it was essential to the plot. Everything else was amazing except the ending. It was a bit vague and left to the audience's interpretation. Still a happy ending for everyone, just not sure how it happened since it wasn't really explained.
