[❤] Favourite Dramas/Movies
Since I always struggle to choose my favourites this list contains all of the dramas that are positively memorable for me, and because I remember them I consider them favourites in a way. I wouldn't say all are ground-breaking but I like them enough that I'd happily re-watch them, ignore the silly little "drama must follow stupid trope to continue on" and I'd recommend them.

1. Atashinchi no Danshi
Japanese Drama - 2009, 11 episodes
That over the top silliness is forever my one of favourite things about Japanese dramas and this fits that category perfectly.
-
2. Bitter Blood
Japanese Drama - 2014, 11 episodes
The chaotic, overexaggerated comedy duo of a father-son who don't really like each other solving (fairly easy) crimes was on point. Plus the side characters really blended well.
-
3. Bokura wa Kiseki de Dekite Iru
Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
Sometimes you need something relaxing and this the perfect drama for it. It's a nice relaxing drama about loving yourself for who you are.
-
4. Circle
Korean Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
The twists and turns in this are great! I love how it presents both the present and the past even if it takes a bit of getting used to at first.
-
5. Eulachacha Waikiki
Korean Drama - 2018, 20 episodes
This is a great almost sitcom-y drama that is wonderful for when I just need some silly, mindless shenanigans and a good laugh.
-
6. Fuben na Benriya
Japanese Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
Honestly it deserves bonus points just for achieving the Guinness world record, never mind being a great mix of slice of life and comedy.
-
7. Great Men Academy
Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
It's corny and follows a lot of cliché troupes but it's still fun. It adds a fresh feeling to the guy is actually a girl troupe imo.
-
8. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e
Japanese Drama - 2007, 12 episodes
I'd read the manga and was iffy on the silly approach but there's nothing like this drama! It's funny and very re-watchable.
-
9. Hello Monster
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This one had an interesting dynamic between Lee Hyun, Jung Su Ho and Lee Jun Ho that sticks out to me to this day.
-
10. Kasane
Japanese Movie - 2018
Whilst the ending was a tad confusing, the two actresses' make a fine duo of complete opposites trying to live in each other's lives by borrowing each other's faces.
-
11. Kiss Me
Thai Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
My favourite of the whole Itazura Na Kiss remakes. TenTen actually seemed like an approachable human being in comparison to the other versions.
-
12. Liar Game
Japanese Drama - 2007, 11 episodes
It's almost like a puzzle on my TV which makes it fun for me to watch. Add the 2nd season too, which I consider even better than this in ways.
-
13. Ma Boy
Korean Drama - 2012, 3 episodes
The girl is actually a boy is a fun idea! It's one of those sweet candy dramas that is great to fill the time when I'm feeling bored of dramas.
-
14. My Father Is Strange
Korean Drama - 2017, 52 episodes
52 episodes is a fearsome number but the cast of this drama is so strong that it makes you forget it's 52 episodes long.
-
15. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend
Chinese Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
A bit of a slow start but the chaos of this is great! It's just how I like it: funny, light and silly. Apply that to the 2nd season as well!
-
16. Ouran High School Host Club
Japanese Drama - 2011, 11 episodes
I was wholly impressed they made this so good! The anime and manga were fantastic and this was a wonderful addition.
-
17. Strangers from Hell
Korean Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
A nicely paced, dark and intriguing drama. This has to have one of the creepiest villains of drama land so far.
-
18. Tensai Tantei Mitarai: Nankai Jiken File - Kasa wo Oru Onna
Japanese Special - 2015, 1 episode
This is about 2hs long and felt very Sherlock Holmes-esque, which I really enjoy that style. I wish they made this into a series!
-
19. The Movie: Final Fantasy XIV Hikari no Otousan
Japanese Movie - 2019
This movie was just heart-warming. Nothing really happened, but I enjoyed watching the day to day life of the family as the son tried to get to know his silent dad.
-
20. Thirty but Seventeen
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
It's such a tragic story yet it was presented so adorably. I also love Gong Woo Jin actually respects Woo Seo Ri's opinions and choices.
-
21. Todome no Kiss
Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
The romance isn't that strong but the story and how it progresses is. My time travelling loving self loved this!
-
22. Tori Girl
Japanese Movie - 2017
Whilst a tad slow start, the Tom and Jerry-like duo of Tsuchiya Tao and Mamiya Shotaro make the hilarious hijinks in this movie enjoyable and silly.
-
23. Who Are You: School 2015
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This drama is a true SLS. Although it had dips here and there I still liked watching Lee Eun Bi's development play out.
-
24. You're Beautiful
Korean Drama - 2009, 16 episodes
Does it deserve such a high rating? Probably not. But it's funny, fun and memorable in a lot of ways that other dramas are not so it has a high rating in my heart.
-
25. Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty
Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes
