Tang Chih Wei is a Taiwanese actor, TV presenter, director, and writer. He began his career in entertainment at the age of nine by participating in an advertisement audition. He is affiliated with Chuanxuan Media Studio (傳軒媒體工作室).

Tang graduated from the World News Specialized School's (世界新聞專科學校) Broadcasting and Television department in 1981, and from the Drama and Theater Department of Chinese Culture University (中國文化大學) in 1984. After graduating, he joined various dance and theater groups. In 1989, he founded the Tang Chih Wei Film Club (湯志偉影友會), and in 1990, the Wandering Dancer Work Group (流浪舞者工作群). He also established the Aiton Studio (艾顿工作室) in 1992. Tang became a guest lecturer in jazz music at Chinese Culture University's Education Extension Center (教育推廣中心) in 1996, and worked as a music editor for UFO Radio (飛碟電台). In 1998, he became the first internet DJ at Acer Net (艾克網).

Tang married Irene Huang (黃琴伶), a doctor, on October 25, 1994, and they divorced in 2007. He married Juby Guo (郭美珒) on October 21, 2013, after dating for four years. He has a son, Tang Pao Lung (湯寶龍).
