"Jiang" Somsak Techaratanaprasert is a Thai film producer and CEO of Sahamongkol Film (สหมงคลฟิล์ม). Born and raised in Woeng Nakhon Khasem, a market in Samphanthawong, Bangkok, Thailand, he first started working at the age of ten, standing out front of the theatre reselling tickets. At nineteen, he started working as a theatre manager to great success. He later opened his own theatre showing only dubbed films from the west before founding Sahamongkol Film in 1970. From 2003 to 2005, he was the president of the Thai Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations.
