Yazawa Ai is a Japanese manga artist (mangaka) who debuted in 1985. She is known for "Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai" (1992-95), "Gokinjo Monogatari" (1995-98), "Kagen no Tsuki" (1998-99), "Paradise Kiss" (1999-2004), and "Nana" (2000-09). A number of her series have been made into anime and live-action media.

In 2009, Yazawa was hospitalized due to a sudden illness and put "Nana" on hiatus. She returned from the hospital in June 2010. Yazawa has only worked on small projects since. Edit Biography
