Studied under Eiji Tsuburaya as a student of Tsuburaya Special Skills Research Institute . Transferred to Toho Photo Studio in 1953 and worked as a shooting assistant for special effects movies . Promoted to cinematographer in place of Sadamasa Arikawa , who became a special effects director (special skills director) in 1966 . In 1969, he became a special effects director , and since 1971, the special effects director of television movies has become the center of his work. He also worked as a producer for TV movies.
