Philip Kwok

Before entering the film industry, Kwok was a circus performer and trained in Northern-style kung fu at Peking Opera schools. Through his martial arts connections, he transitioned into acting, signing with Chang Gong Film Company in 1974. After the company closed in 1976, he moved to Hong Kong and joined Shaw Brothers Studio.
Kwok has two daughters and one son. His adopted son, Chen Ye Sheng (陳業升), a Hong Kong police officer, died in the line of duty on March 18, 2004.
