I doubt she won't do those anymore, those are money makers and hugely add to popularity.
Wdym, those are idol period dramas as well, if you mean The First Jasmine and Unveil: Jadewind. They were also filmed when she was under her old agency. They're just made for a more mature audience and tried something fresh character wise. And both had romance, though not your typical, front loaded in your face ones. And so far there are no announced new dramas yet, though I've heard she's gonna star in a modern drama next.
Idol сdramas are what's most popular and what keeps stars afloat. Filming yourself only in some sort of slice of life, mundane life dramas like Northward or Ordinary Greatness is a road to obscurity, not that big of an audience compared.
The plot is watchable, but FL here is infantile, naive and dense as a log in everything besides her job. She even talks in that annoying infantile tone. ML is doing most of the doing and thinking here.
I hope Bai Lu continues to have the freedom to explore more diverse projects and work with a wider range of talented…
Yea, I like her because she has no qualms about trying different genres and roles, pretty makeup or no makeup at all, and has talent to carry them. She should do more of that. And let's not forget she also sings. So many cdrama actors who have nothing except a pretty face and can barely act one type of role, but somehow are still very popular...
Is this why there's been such weird "scandals" involving her this year? It's been noticeable how trivial…
Quite likely. Hopefully it will die down now. Until her new drama comes out, that is - hater crazies be always coming out of hibernation when it's some rival actor's drama on the horizon. I've heard her next drama will be modern times one.
She opened her own studio. It’s been prepped for a while now. It will exclusively cater to her needs as a top star. The agency that she left was criticized for being amateurish and unable to handle some of her projects properly. It’s fine, she’s been with them for 10 years, they’re good at raising prospective younglings. But it’s time to move on. Also means none of those slavish contracts bs you hear often about, she’ll be able to choose her own projects.
FL on the poster looks nothing like her photo in cast & credits, lol. Another victim of bad plastic surgery?
In any case, I'm on the fence about this one. They should have waited for FL actress from S1. And what schedule conflicts? She's been in 3 dramas already after S1. Clearly somebody didn't want her in S2.
They have not debunked ALL the evidence as fake. They have debunked the grifter youtuber's "evidence"…
Why are you not having any common sense to not spew bile until he's actually convicted with something? Some people just can't help themselves but to gloat over others' misfortune.
The only people who are despicable here are the rabid fans turned haters, who enjoy steaming in their own bile and spreading it all over the place. Most of the scandals you see about actors' private lives these days are generated by water armies, AI and criminal groups selling hate on the internet at the highest bidder (one was even captured recently). How about waiting for an actual sentence for once before starting throwing sh*it? Or next thing you know there's another suicide victim bullied by social media crazies.
Latest from wiki: "In May 2026, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced that it had determined evidence against Kim Soo-hyun to have been falsified using a combination of image editing and artificial intelligence, which included an AI-generated voice clone of the late actress Kim Sae-ron. The police initially announced that they were seeking an arrest warrant for Kim Se-ui [ko] of Hover Lab for fabricating and distributing the edited materials to generate attention for his YouTube channel. On May 26, 2026, the Seoul Central District Court officially granted the arrest warrant, and Kim Se-ui was detained due to concerns that he might flee or destroy evidence. Furthermore, investigative authorities booked Bu Ji-seok—the attorney representing Kim Sae-ron's family who had previously held a joint press conference with Hover Lab—as a suspected accomplice."
Why are some people having problems with the facts that the series might have romance? That is what makes some…
Most likely because of the actors' real age gap. And as soon as one of them is nearing 50 it's immediately ick for many people. Personally I don't give af, the actor doesn't even look too old because of all the filters plastered on him. But I think if they gonna insert it here, it's gonna be very mild.
And so far there are no announced new dramas yet, though I've heard she's gonna star in a modern drama next.
