Endgame episodes were a total circus and ending was utter trash. Regretting wasting my time on this.

I also hate delulu second leads who were absent for years and then appear out of nowhere obsessed with main lead. Where’ve you been all those years? So many opportunities to get together if you so wanted to. But nah, they appear just in time when main leads meet and start their pathetic third wheeling.

SFL and SML, and grandma are annoying af. Waste of screentime. If they disappeared and leads simply investigated ghost cases I’d love it more.

Yea, it was an alright watch if you turn off your brain about the plot, some good funny moments here. S.E.S. ajummas were the the best.

Amnesia, moles and scruffy ML remind me a lot of the old American movie Overboard. Basically same plot, though FL there was a rich bitch ML wanted to punish.

Yea, in these women empowerment dramas only women suffer and get abused. Men are there mainly to look pretty and sometimes to land a hand.

Not that I need to explain it further again, but I was saying earlier that this drama's plot and FL are rather similar to another recent drama and I like that one more so far. Is that a problem? I'm not allowed to watch and compare, and am a hater now?

Why are you even saying this? Comparing roles is considered hate now? I've nothing against the actress, but her role here is not vibing with me. Is it the actres's fault or the script I'm not sure, I haven't seen her in anything but The Double. But she played very samey there as well, maybe being typecast.

I know, it's a dilemma. On the one hand, they want to show us female empowerment story. On the other hand, people want romance and marriage, but it makes the first point moot. Even if they'll show us in the end them working together, she'll still be viewed and obliged as ML's wife first and foremost, making her own achievements seem granted by his backing. Even today women have to work twice as hard to prove themselves, not sure how they gonna handle it in these historical times, misogyny is rampant in this drama.

Anybody else having way more fun watching the second couple's antics than the main one? They're so funny, and SFL is the highlight of this whole drama.
Not feeling anything with the main couple. ML may be into FL, but she's so uptight about her job and justice, she's not giving any vibes. Also, it's a very skewed relationship, maybe if ML made her his empress, but then again, she likely won't be able to do her job as an official then, making the point of this whole drama moot.

I'm also to this point not a fan of FL having no sense of self preservation when it comes to speaking to officials of higher rank, especially the emperor. If he didn't have a soft spot her, she'd be executed a long time ago. For a lifelong survivor, she lacks surviving skills in this field. Would have been more believable if she used wily tricks with soft talking more and was less blunt.

I'm glad you did. I've seen people posting they dropped it after the first or so episode without giving it a chance. Dunno why even, it's such a good, well thought out drama. Was it because ML here is not your typical baby boy general? The story is too grim? Not focused on the romance right out the door?

I really wouldn't. 10 years is a lot of time and those thugs didn't spend any significant amount of time with ML either. Also, people age and faces change.
