There has to be good lighting for a “lighthearted” scene, turning off the lights would make the room feel…
Not being able to film in a dim room is bs, there are plenty of movies and dramas where it's done ok and everything can be seen. If you're incompetent, then make a scene before bed, ffs. It just looks very stupid.
I can't with these kdramas. "Ooh, I can't sleep..." Fkn turn off all the frikin lights, ffs! It's not like ALL film staff are so incompetent they can't film a scene in the dark. Just in every single kdrama, they sleep with full illumination 😠 Especially ridiculous are FL's parents - they sleep with lights on and sleeping masks 🤣
This drama blows even the trivial things out of proportion. Honestly, they should start dating in the open. Nobody should care, ML has no wife or gf. School teachers are also humans, they're not robots with no feelings. And scandal in Seoul could have been easily dealt with years ago - just sue the mfs into oblivion. FL's family have the means and irl they would have done that immediately. Instead they decided to hurt their own daughter, no matter whether it was her fault or not, and their own reputation by dragging this on.
Yea, no, FL doesn't look like she's 20 something. She still looks like she's in her 30s, but with a dumb haircut and clothes 😂. Also, hands don't lie. Should have made her a victim of an unfortunate cosmetic surgery or smth, those things can age by a lot.
Why he's like it is very understandable though, literally a defence at being hurt again.Really he just becomes…
Tbf, FL was sabotaged with those onions by other secretaries at least on one occasion. You know, the one that works at a sandwitch cafe, who stuffed them in her order even though FL asked not to include them.
Coffee is dumb though, yea. But on ML's side as well, as if his tongue is a termometer. He could have been just bitching that it wasn't hot enough on a whim.
teenagers - annoyingthe teachers - annoying the SML - an annoying loser FL - became annoying in episode 4male…
ML is annoying that he never explains himself and just lets the annoying rumor mill churn out ridiculous stuff about him. Just tell people what you're up to, it takes 3 seconds tops.
I'm thinking that ML and his nephew are not even blood related. He doesn't have a sister, it's more likely some random kid he took, cuz he's too kind hearted.
The ending was kinda meh. And it's not that it was rushed or anything and everything got covered on paper, but: 1. The drama's around 2 episodes too long, the last two episodes had some clear fillers. 2. I was hopeful there won't be any, but they just had to insert at least one dumb cliche in this drama at the end. That LDR they've prepped and stretched for most of the episode, as always, was completely unnecessary. It's just like in countless other dramas with this dumb bs - it doesn't matter how long you stay apart to quell the rumors, the rumors will immediately come back with your return, so stop being dumb and stay put. And actually, nobody really gives a f, it'll blow over in a week, it's all in your head. 3. ML getting his reputation tarnished by exposing the evil dude made no sense. The contracts were signed by the agency, not himself, and he clearly wasn't benefiting from money laundering, hence the exposure on TV. But no, somehow he's a bad guy, let's cancel all contracts and not sign anyting anew with him. And of course, only FL's article released way later for the dumbest whatever reasons explained that he's innocent. I mean, wtf. 4. The evil dude got jailed very quickly off-screen. Disappointing. He was all talk, it seems. If it was a more serious drama, FL's flat would already be raided and burned down to get rid of any evidence, her brother would be dead and one of the leads would be seriously injured. 5. There's no kiss in the end. They skipped from barely started dating, to LDR, to proposal. It sure was warranted here at this point, but I guess haters can now safely watch it without getting outraged.
Anyway, in general a pretty good drama, with some really funny moments and mostly void of dumbassery and cliches. All actors did a good job as well, especially ML. However, the last two episodes kinda went off the rails and romance could have been done better, without reservations. I'd give it an 8 overall.
So we got about 2 minutes of the second leads talking and then he asks if her son is his child and then ..and…
I feel like they're not really here to give secondary couple vibes. They're in this plot as support characters to help the main leads to deal with major problems. Mainly, helping them get together and nail the bad guy. When they're doing that, they're at their best writing wise.
It's complicated with FL . They started on a very wrong foot with ML due to dramatic unlucky first encounters. But…
ML is not intense here like tropey overconfident MLs in other dramas. He knows FL's character well after many initial fights and after they got to know each other better. He knows she's difficult, so he handles her with real care. His ex was a real dumbass to ditch him, and she's regretted it too, but too late. And yea, when the leads got over their funny drama on the Onion app and came clean about their feelings, they've been very nice to watch. I'd say it's a very organic romance, nothing is forced here.
before watching, can I know a few key moments? what ep does the fl realise she likes the ml too and when do they…
It's complicated with FL . They started on a very wrong foot with ML due to dramatic unlucky first encounters. But after FL watched ML's drama series in episode 2, she started liking ML's drama detective character first, not himself as an actor. She secretly became a big fan. After that, her feelings towards the actor became a mess. The clear line where she started liking the actor, not just his cool detective persona, is very blurry here, it's all gradual and hard to tell exactly when. It's not helping that FL here is actually very shy and self-conscious about showing romantic expressions. So she's clearly been shown to be really into ML, but not wanting to admit or show it, especially in front of other people. So, I dunno, maybe at earliest around episode 5, when she refused to accept his apology and expect more from him? It definitely was referred to later. She also thought they're of a different social status and was discouraged from imagining herself with a top star celebrity.
After a funny twist of fate they started talking and flirting with each other on the Onion app (second hand online shop app), not realizing each other's irl identities. That's when FL really started liking that person on the app. That's in the middle of the drama.
ML started liking FL after their unlucky blind date in episode 4. And later he made up his mind to focus on pursuing FL instead of anonymous woman on the app, even though he liked her too. So he sent another guy in his stead to turn her down when she asked him to meet irl over the Onion app. That's when ML saw that FL and the Onion app woman are the same person. So after some encouragement and mulling over he revealed himself to FL as the guy from the Onion at the end of episode 11. After a meltdown and thinking over this whole ridiculous situation, FL later forgave ML for lying and agreed going on dates with him. They went on their first date in episode 13.
Overall, I'd say the romance here is pretty funny and actually well done. Nothing feels forced and there are no dumb cliches. Just a good enemies to lovers rom-com. And ML is a really nice guy, he's been very nice to FL, despite her difficult character.
Tbh, today's episode was rather boring, time to wrap this up already. Besides ML reconciling with his mom, which was nice, and finding FL's old business card in his old print shop car, barely anything happened. And sure, him finding the business card was a given when that car appeared again, but why was that business card still there after so many years? The car was used by other people, they never cleaned the compartment? Next, FL staying alone at a big house instead of 3 guys made no sense. Should have been the other way around. Sure, ML wanted to please FL, but it just didn't make much sense anyway. The only nice thing about it was that FL met ML's mother. Other scenes today was nothing to write home about.
I'm looking forward to the last episode and how they gonna nail the bad guy. Hope it ends on a high note and wraps this kdrama year nicely.

FL is doing all the lifting, but the plot is kinda meh.
