I think it's the first drama I've ever watched featuring severe PTSD that tries to show something positive.
And dramas about schizos are usually either about psychos or total crazies like in Shutter Island, but overall very depressing.

I'm just hoping the main couple wouldn't turn into a trainwreck, tbh. The rest'd be a nice bonus.

Could he be faking it? His father is fearsome trash, maybe he's playing a dimwit?

I as I've said above, I don't think the writers would dare going schizophrenia route. Also, there was one medical guy's reply somewhere down below saying it can all be attributed to PTSD and it's 50/50 treatable. In drama terms it's 100%.

So out of all the side couples which ones will make it in the end?
So far we have:
-SFL and assassin guy
-Travelogue noble girl and marquis's illegitimate son
-Rival country's princess and ML's merchant friend

SML is forever alone btw, as they always are, lol.

Here's hoping her helper guy will go up the mountain to investigate and will return with news soon. Not sure what's gonna be her reaction though, probably denial.

Also, the writers wouldn't dare tread into schizophrenia, I think. Nobody wants to watch tragedies nowadays.

She assosiates herself with her martial arts teacher. It's all in her head. She's the one that's actually fighting.

It's not schizophrenia, but PTSD with DID symptomps. Schizophrenia would have manifested even in her childhood, but she was a normal kid before.
And it wasn't many years, what happened at the mountain already had spoiler teasers - she was grown up there when it happened. PTSD is treatable with varying success. And since it's a drama, it's guaranteed she'll get better with ML's help. Typical "power of love" trope that actually works irl.

I'm more incredulous of ML's recovery in like 3 months. They were married for half a year, he got his legs rebroken somewhere halfway through. With his injuries 3 months is bare minimum for bones to heal, any sort of physiotherapy nonwithstanding. But the guy here already can walk all day and gonna fight that other general guy in the next episode while not having trained for years.

It's all ridiculous for drama's sake. Gotta suspend some disbelief to enjoy it, I guess.

It was all shown already. He got exposed for killing that investigator official who was investigating marquis’s family’s weapons smuggling. It all meant he was conspiring something against the throne.

The plot got rid of annoying SML, now there's another annoying third wheeler on the horizon coming to barge in 🙄.
Everytime there's this forced childhood connection/arranged marriage/destiny trope is coming into play I wanna (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻.

Kinda weak to lose hair over if it's like that. In the novel FL got into an accident and was presumed dead for several months, ML was going crazy trying to find her.

Looks like FL's helper guy went there to investigate.

She trained under him, but looks like blanked it out from her mind, like many other things. You can't fight like that just by watching someone.

Prince Li staged his death. He escape through a tunnel to the underground waterworks canal.

They cure everything in cdramas with acupuncture - from deadly poisons, to mortal wounds 😂

He was on a wheelchair for 8 years, that's a very long time, it doesn't really matter what he was before. Muscle atrophy, severe wounds on both legs. One leg looked really fked up...
I guess we can write it off on their magical acupuncture (this sh is such bs though, always makes my eyes roll in cdramas, lol).

Plot wise it's fine, lots to tell yet. But I'm more concerned that he started walking so fast in general. It's been mentioned they were married for around half a year by SFL. FL started treating ML's legs somewhere half way through, broke his legs again even. And he's already walking. Seeing how people spend a long time in physical therapy after such surgeries it looks very unrealistic. But whatever, it's a drama, I guess.
