omg everyone's saying cdl's character is a villain I REALLY hope she's an interesting villain...I don't have a good impression of her acting but whatever going on with her in this show looks interesting to me for some reason and I actually live for a good female villain with her own arc and characteristics (I'm kinda guessing her story might have a similar vibe to clj's villain's story if the genders were reversed lol. If that'd be the case I'd absolutely love it!) Really need a xianxia that delivers a decent female villain and not another 2 dimensional misogynistically written evil woman 😭

now you're being too dramatic and very unreasonable...fyi since the beginning of the film industry and cinema, movies were litterally SILENT for 35 years and old silent movies are all LONG AS HELL, people still acted in those very well and others sat through them and watched them fully for HOURS without the world ending like how you're making it look like now. Also, there are many mute actors out there who are amazing and also actors who still perform oscar worthy in movies and shows that don't have dialogues lol. So the statement that an acting performance is absolutely nothing without the sound is technically wrong.
It's true that a part of the actor's acting essence will be lost (I'm personally against dubbing) when they get dubbed but a good actor's performance is not gonna suddenly get completely ruined bc of the dubbing I promise you lmao, if anything many of these VAs who do the dubbing in popular shows like bftb are very professional and veteran and can actually make the actor's performance look better than what it would have been with their own line delivery lol
