ppl are happy abt this being on Netflix bc of subs but Netflix subs are kind of shit tbh 😭 I don't speak Chinese so I wouldn't even know but watching kdramas with Netflix subs pisses me off so bad bc I understand korean to some extent and even I, with my limited knowledge, could pick up how badly they butchered a huge part of the shows' essence. In well written shows, chars have their own distinct tones and specific ways of speaking which actually plays quite a significant role in conveying each char's personality. This ALWAYS gets scrapped completely in Netflix subs and ppl in charge in there are also terrible at delivering comedy from the og language to English so yeah 😭
