Only 4epis left after the exile. I just hope they don't rush things. I badly want a longer reconciliation process.I…
In Director Fei we trust. I love how we all trust Director Fei’s capabilities to give justice to the closure of this masterpiece especially to our main characters.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DIRECTOR AND SCRIPT-WRITER.I could type a long detailed review of this epic piece, BUT:How…
Very well said! I like how they keep referencing back what has been said in the earlier episodes. There is no meaningless dialogue in this drama. It’s truly a masterpiece and one of a kind.
Episodes 43 and 44 were so good! I loved the conversation between Consort Yue and the Empress. It needed to happen…
They seem to read our minds and our worries for the Empress from previous episodes. They addressed it in Episode 43, giving the Empress and us viewers, a peace of mind.
I was so so relieved that LBY finds CSS so soon! But at the same time felt that the whole part was a bit rushed……
Agree on the bad sequence. At the start of episode 44, I was confused for a second. I had to go back to previous episode to see if I missed out any scenes bc I genuinely thought I accidentally fast forwarded the previous episode.
Why is Peng Kun rebelling again? It does not seem he has plans to take over the throne or something because Shouchun…
Good analysis. It definitely looks like Ling Yi has something to do with the rebellion. Ling Yi and Peng Kun could be Emperor Li’s supporters back then. Now I’m wondering if Emperor Li still has any descendants that could be colluding with Ling Yi. Actually, I was kind of expecting to see Wang Ling help CSS solve the mystery of Cheng Shi’s disappearance since CSS kind of helped her back then.
Even though he’s ruthless most of the times and sometimes reckless, but when it comes to his comrades, he is…
Agree. I have watched a lot of ancient Chinese dramas and most of the times, it’s like you said, “for love” the main male characters are willing to fight for someone no matter who dies for it. That’s why I felt the urge to praise LBY for being level headed and not sacrificing just anyone just because he can.
There is something I don’t quite understand. Hope someone can enlighten me.
Why is Peng Kun rebelling again? It does not seem he has plans to take over the throne or something because Shouchun looks quite far from the capital to me. It’s more like a suicide at this point.
Even though he’s ruthless most of the times and sometimes reckless, but when it comes to his comrades, he is level headed and won’t abuse his power. He won’t sacrifice them for his own gains. Also, I love how he checks upon Ah Fei and Ah Qi and makes sure they are safe and sound.
Tbh..the English subtitles cannot do justice to the affection shown by Consort Yue towards the Empress in episode 43 opening scene. Before the Empress leaves the room, CY actually addresses the Empress as older sister instead of “Her Majesty” or her name. While the Empress has been addressing CY as younger sister instead of her title. That’s the first time CY has ever addressed the Empress as “older sister”. Such a heartwarming scene indeed.
LOL at the constant mandarin duck vs chicken wings jokes..😂😂😂 I finally got to see the “rabbit” on the soft armour! That “rabbit” soft armour protected LBY’s life. His love for CSS levelled up instantly.

They still managed to slip in comedy in such dire circumstances.

Kudos to WL, director, cameramen and the choreographer.
