I actually haven't read the novel. I only know the ending from reading various comments below and from searching about the novel ending on Google.

Netflix is weird like that. I have a Roku brand TV and have to do an app restart (scroll to the netflix app, hit the * button on the remote, scroll down to Restart App) and once Netflix restarts, only then will the new episodes show up. Simply exiting Netflix and then opening it back up again doesn't work. It has to truly restart/reboot the app 🙄 Who knows why

I believe it was episode 10 or 11.

Novel has very happy ending with wedding and a child bewteen CZ and XYL

Not sure about that. I only know about some of the things that happened in the novel from reading some of the comments below and some comments that I found after doing a google search about the novel ending.

Yes, per the novel, they not only get married, but they also have a child together.

It is totally worth the watch! 8/10 stars, and I very, very, very rarely ever rate a vertical drama that high.

I feel like the reminder that "THEY ARE NOT R-E-L-A-T-E-D!" has to be said at least three times every day because apparently many people are confusing this as being a J-drama where incest relationships are not totally unheard of in the world of J-dramas. I am pretty sure that China would NEVER do a drama where the main couple are in or will be in an incestual relationship. 🤣😂😅😅😅

If it wasn't already obvious, I am a huge fan of this series. I've watched it five times already, and am here in the comment section because I am getting ready to watch it for the sixth time since I found out that there is now a vertical drama remake of it...which is sadly nowhere to be found officially and is only available on Dailymotion unofficially and without subs 😭😭

I have had that happen before. Usually, if you close the app out and restart the app, that issue will stop unless the issue is caused by a slowed internet connection. By slowed, I don't necessarily mean truly slow, just slower than it usually operates. I have had that issue happen with Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, iQiyi, and Tencent/WeTV. It will also occur if you skip forward or backward too frequently. It messes with the timing of the subtitles.

It's also on Hulu in the US.

Hopefully, it will be like in Blossom and Legend of the Female General, which both feature rebirth, and the writers/producers/etc will have figured out a loop hole for a happy ending.

Netflix. I am starting episode three now. The subs are better on Netflix.

The good news is that Netflix seems to be airing the series following the SVIP calendar. First four episodes are already out on Netflix. Hopefully, they continue to follow the SVIP airing calendar.
