Why look for chemistry when they're not in love? You're asking for the moon.
I read the novel. They do in a way unite for revenge, though their revenge targets different people. Sun is after revenge against Sunny, and Jay wants to bring down Sunny's sponsor. They share similar goals, in which Sun's goal alines with part of Jay's goal. Sun is very emotionally closed off, and so the actual love and romance doesn't finally materialize until near the very end of the novel when Sun finally is able to accept himself, his guilt, and his feelings towards Jay. Before then, there was even the question of whether Sun would even continue living after he had completed his revenge. The novel leads the reader to believe that Sun may have deeply buried thoughts of suicide. Even Jay quickly began to pick up on this and was trying to change the way Sun perceived the guilt that he felt surrounding his brother and mom's death. There is absolutely no way that the series can cover all of or even part of what happened in the novel that finally lead Sun to, not so much forgive himself, but to accept his guilt and choose to continue living and embrace the people that care for him.
How are people rating episodes that haven't even been aired yet??
This has long been a problem with MDL. For some reason, MDL allows users to rate episodes that have not even aired yet 🙄 and they show no sign of changing it, yet.
I started Eternal Fragrance first and then this, now I can't seem to want to continue EF, SWL is so much more…
I actually really liked both his role and the FLs role in The Seven Relics of Ill Omen. Even though there was no kissing in that series, it really didn't need it because both SWL and LHC portrayed the emotions and feelings of the characters so well that the viewer could obviously see their bond and love for each other. I am waiting for Eternal Fragrance Express Package to release, or at least closer to that time before I continue watching EF. I will probably end up starting Love for You tomorrow, or even possibly later tonight.
I have learned that a good rule of thumb when it comes to bl dramas is to give them at least 4 episodes to make…
Yes, exactly. Every series, be it Thai, Chinese, Korean, etc. needs time to world build and for the actors to, more or less, settle into their characters. This is a genre that has only recently been brought to the screen, so it is understandable that actors may need some time to sink into their characters and the world that those characters inhabit.
So, yeah, this episode was a bit much, but after seeing the preview for the next episode, I am very much looking forward to episode three. I have been waiting for this episode ever since I read it in the novel. Finally, Nakhun and Phatsa will find their rhythm and begin to settle into their bond more firmly, and Nakhun will start seeing hints that Phatsa may not be just a normal omega. So, for those who are considering dropping the series, just try and hold out at least one more episode. I think episode three will finally see us through that somewhat rocky start that the first two episodes gave us.🤞🙏
Let me put it this way: after this episode, I’ve decided I’d rather read omegaverse stories than watch them.…
Per the novel, it is not toxic, especially Nakhun and Phatsa's relationship. Within the next episode or two, we shoukd see them level out as they adjust to and accept their bond.
was this based on a book or anything? I feel like we're missing key information
Yes, the novel can be found on readawrite in both Thai and English. The chapters are published two at a time, with the first chapter being in Thai and the second chapter being the English translation. It is still ongoing and currently has 22 chapters posted, so technically 11 chapters. The novel is more detailed and explains things better. When I say that I didn't like the sound quality of the voice dubbing, it wasn't the voice that i was talking about. I was talking about the quality of the sound, like whatever mic they were using, the recording studio itself. The sound had a slightly muffled quality to it that kept triggering my subwoofer on my speakers to kick in. It was obvious that it was recorded in a studio, in front of a mic, and that they didn't use filters, or at least good filters, to try and make the voice sound clearer. Nothing to do with the actual voice itself.
I understand what you are saying about how many people automatically assume that the word scandal must mean nefarious doing in every circumstance.
I had heard that he was cleared of any wrong doing, which was why I only said that he had a scandal and not that he had done something wrong. A scandal in the entertainment industry doesn't always imply wrong-doing. A scandal can be as simple and stupid as an actor getting caught going on a date with someone, or it can be as extreme as criminal activity. It is true that Zhang Haowei was caught in a scandal. It was later found that he had not done anything wrong. That doesn't negate the fact that it was considered a scandal.
My original comment was about the AI, not the original actor who played Wang Ruo Hai. My second comment was simply answering a question asked by another commentor, in which I again did not make any specific comments about the original actor, other than that he was replaced by another actor and face swapped with AI. My problem is with the AI, the editing surrounding the AI, and the sound quality of the dubbing, and not the original actor.
