Oh poo. I was so hoping it was novel based so I could read the novel before it started airing, and thus know how it ends 😞😅

Is this based off of a novel, or is it an original screen write?

So, yeah, this episode was a bit much, but after seeing the preview for the next episode, I am very much looking forward to episode three. I have been waiting for this episode ever since I read it in the novel. Finally, Nakhun and Phatsa will find their rhythm and begin to settle into their bond more firmly, and Nakhun will start seeing hints that Phatsa may not be just a normal omega.
So, for those who are considering dropping the series, just try and hold out at least one more episode. I think episode three will finally see us through that somewhat rocky start that the first two episodes gave us.🤞🙏

Per the novel, it is not toxic, especially Nakhun and Phatsa's relationship. Within the next episode or two, we shoukd see them level out as they adjust to and accept their bond.

Yes, the novel can be found on readawrite in both Thai and English. The chapters are published two at a time, with the first chapter being in Thai and the second chapter being the English translation. It is still ongoing and currently has 22 chapters posted, so technically 11 chapters. The novel is more detailed and explains things better. And it seems like the haters aren't just on MDL. The rating on Viki is also below 9, which i was surprised about.

When I say that I didn't like the sound quality of the voice dubbing, it wasn't the voice that i was talking about. I was talking about the quality of the sound, like whatever mic they were using, the recording studio itself. The sound had a slightly muffled quality to it that kept triggering my subwoofer on my speakers to kick in. It was obvious that it was recorded in a studio, in front of a mic, and that they didn't use filters, or at least good filters, to try and make the voice sound clearer. Nothing to do with the actual voice itself.

I understand what you are saying about how many people automatically assume that the word scandal must mean nefarious doing in every circumstance.

I had heard that he was cleared of any wrong doing, which was why I only said that he had a scandal and not that he had done something wrong. A scandal in the entertainment industry doesn't always imply wrong-doing. A scandal can be as simple and stupid as an actor getting caught going on a date with someone, or it can be as extreme as criminal activity. It is true that Zhang Haowei was caught in a scandal. It was later found that he had not done anything wrong. That doesn't negate the fact that it was considered a scandal.

My original comment was about the AI, not the original actor who played Wang Ruo Hai. My second comment was simply answering a question asked by another commentor, in which I again did not make any specific comments about the original actor, other than that he was replaced by another actor and face swapped with AI. My problem is with the AI, the editing surrounding the AI, and the sound quality of the dubbing, and not the original actor.

At least it wasn't an open ending like so many xianxia romance series are.

Li Xin Ze took over the role of Wang Ruo Hai when the original actor had a scandal. Li Xin Ze's face was used via AI, but the whole AI and editing of Wang Ruo Hai to accommodate the AI was done very poorly. The sound quality of the dubbing of Wang Ruo Hai's character is also not great.

I watched up to episode 5 when it first started airing, and then I decided to let it marinate for a few more episodes, at least until their relationship progressed a little bit. I had other dramas to watch during that time, so it was all cool. Except, well, more than 30 episodes in and the leads are reportedly still not together...and I'm still letting it marinate. Now that the series has finished airing, here I am again trying to decide whether or not I should go ahead and finish watching the drama or should I officially put it On Hold? I'm not someone who minds a good slow-burn romance. The key word there was "good". That remains the million dollar question - was the slow-burn done well enough to portray the clear emotions of the characters for eachother despite the fact that they have not yet officially entered into a relationship? Some slow-burn romances don't do this well, and so the drama feels like it drags on forever...much like this comment seems to be doing 😜 So, my question is: Is the slow-burn done well or did it make it feel like the drama dragged on longer than it should have?

And it is not good AI, either 😐

The subtitles were definitely messy. It felt like they were even more messy than iQiyi Thai drama subtitles usually are. Poor sentence structure, poor grammar, and so many instances where the subtitles didn't even make sense. The timing was also a little off in that the subtitles were often flashing by too quickly, often before the actor had even finished speaking, for even a speed reader like myself to be able to fully read, or at least read enough to get the gist of what was being said.

No Viu in the US, unfortunately. I tried that last year for another drama, even tried the VPN. No luck. I will just wait and see if it gets an international release later.

Is this available to watch officially anywhere in the US? So far, I haven't even found it on Gagaoolala.
