Actually really liked this. It has been sitting in my PTW list for a while, but picked it up because of my new ZLH obsession. In terms of romance, this isn't usually what I'd look for in a drama, but I still kinda liked it.. I guess there's a first to everything. In terms of scheming and revenge, lorrddddd, this was too good. Xie Wei is so damn smart. But it also makes me sad thinking that he had to work hard and be smart to survive day by day ever since he was 7.

Watching SOKP shortly after watching TPR was crazy because ZLH's character in both are extremely different; I'M OBSESSED. About to watch MJTY next, at this point :')

Anyway, really really good drama with an intriguing plot. I would have liked this drama even without the romance--the revenge was perfect.

I was on the same exact boat as you! I ended up watching it and really liked it. SML didn't bother me that much... just give it a try! ZLH did great in this drama, I love his character :)

I commented a question on here a couple days ago, and my replies were full of arguments 😭 sooo I logged off to watch the drama in peace. I already wrote a full on review, but I still wanted to comment something here.

Advice to potential watchers: if the synopsis interests you, just give the drama a try. Don't dwell on these comments like I did, because it almost ruined my experience watching the drama. Does it have flaws and things I wish went different? Yeah, but it's not as terrible as some people may say.

Whoever replied to me and said LR only is interested in WX, I agree with you. She really loves him, and that can be seen in MANY scenes. Her actions speak louder than words, literally. With that being said, she isn't completely indifferent/hateful towards RQ (which seems to tick people off in the comment section). She definitely has lingering sentiments for RQ given how he accompanied her until her death in her past life, but that is all there is to it. In terms of love, she only loves WX.

I would yap more, but I don't wanna prolong this comment lol. Bottom line is, just watch it with ignorant bliss so the hate doesn't ruin your experience 🤷🏻‍♀️ still gave the drama a 9/10 :)

I started watching it and i'm about to start episode 2 (i like it so far). I'm also the type of watcher to not care much abt SMLs/SFLs because they don't have a chance with the leads anyway. I was just concerned if LR was indecisive about the guys, but seeing you say she's only interested in PWX-- I'm assured! Thanks for this :)
