Yes, I think so too😭. I think that in the past due to filial duty, the children could never question or hate their parents as they were taught to be always obedient and respectful to them, moreover ML in the past didn't have to suffer that much due to being a noble and might also be a little bit less aware of the dirty politics of the world. Whereas the future ML has to suffer the same with added problems from the outside world maybe that's what makes him act like that.

the comedy is on point😂😂 and the pace of the story is also fast, I guess dramas with 12 episodes or less are really great--The Vigilante, Perfect Marriage Revenge, The Killing Vote, and now this one. I was waiting for this drama especially because of Bae In Hyuk and Lee Se Young, oh god they look so good together😍😍, both are really great in their roles as we can really see how different yet similar ML from the past and present are and how FL is suffering from being thrown into a completely new and strange world. I think it's going to be a light-hearted one as opposed to "My Demon" which has a much more serious tone with a similar theme of the marriage contract. The first 2 episodes really set the stage to make us look forward to the progression of the rest of the story.

this drama was really one of the best historical dramas I have watched one of the key things as opposed to other dramas is that here the writer and director are so good that one moment we are fighting and cursing over some actions of FL or ML but next moment they just make us forget everything and ship them again like crazy😂😂. The ML here is powerful, and assertive, but naive when it comes to how the world works, the FL is smart, cunning, and has a badass aura around her but throws tantrums or fights against the only people who actually care for her like ML and her father (kind of similar to how FL was like to ML in Love like the galaxy although ML and FL of wonderland of love seem much better to me). Even with all their flaws I just ended up melting at the beautiful scenes of them together seriously the portrayal, the writing, the execution, the flow, and the way the dynamics shift from serious to fluffy to betrayals to fluffy are seamlessly directed completely changing the mode of the audience. Even I thought I was crazy as one moment I was writing a comment cursing the character and moments later I am shipping them or supporting them again. However, the only flaw of this drama that kind of stayed with me was how we only see ML coaxing, and apologizing to FL and expressing his love but there was no apology nor explanations from FL to ML even though many of her actions are also problematic and forceful this kind of dynamics is something that just doesn't sit well with me. In dramas some years ago MLs used to be really bad and FLs had to suffer until MLs eventually decided they now liked the FLs so magically it makes up for everything😂 with this they just set aside all the problems he created and lived happily ever after😂 which seemed like the biggest scam to me and now I felt like I was seeing that in gender roles-reversed. Other than that the story, the fights, the CGI, the chemistry between the leads, the direction, etc. were all top-notch. Thank god it has a happy ending or else I would have to drop it at some episode where I consider the end as a happy ending😂.

they were really ambiguous about the whole relationship thing so there is no proper confession scene they kind of just start acting as if they are dating from episode 16-17 before that it's kind of just back and forth with some confessions lines here and there. You will understand what I am saying once you reach there😂😂.

The thing is it's either kill or be killed situation because Li family will eventually kill ML or take all his power to safeguard themselves. Moreover Li family cannot govern the nation and the only reason Cui family isn't doing anything is just because ML is still in power so things are at present optimistic but eventually they will have to kill the Li family and take the throne and in the process they will have to even kill the ML as he will guard his family and his people. So it's kind of a trigger that FL is using to make him realise the reality of his situation before things get ugly.

LCF reminds me of Zhao Xiao from Rebirth for You, he too was delusional and was later exiled at the end of the drama but I hope they kill the one here at least😂. From the trailers, I guess FL is going to use ML's feelings to make him face reality and fight for the throne as unless he is either crown prince or emperor marrying her is not possible as maintaining the power balance is obligatory also he will eventually be killed or at least stripped off of his powers if he doesn't fight back. Also from the episode 30's trailer it seems ML will most probably start a rebellion as under normal circumstances he can't kill a prince for revenge, his brother will at most be under house arrest for a year or so. I think I should take a break until this drama ends or else I might get a lot of emotional damage waiting for the episodes😂😂.

I think it's her way of making sure that Li Ni fights and takes the throne because under normal circumstances what Li Ni wished so far was impossible to achieve without him becoming the emperor but he showed no interest in that. But if Li Ni becomes the crown prince I think the problem will be solved as when it comes to the emperor or crown prince they are allowed to wield as much power and resources as possible to solidify their throne. People who are not either of those are kept under watch and even eliminated if they are seen as a threat to either of the 2. But I think this is gonna make things bad between ML and FL, as this will probably lead to a lot of misunderstanding and "I am not going to explain/apologize" theme.

imagine being so overly powered that the plot has to put shitty characters in powers above you just to hold you back🤣🤣. Even though ML's father an idiot he should have a basic sense of survival or a little bit of greed toward his children, ML is an overachieving child the dream of every parent yet he is being treated so poorly. It's my first time seeing someone in a historical drama who has military power yet is being supported by so many ministers in court who would rather go against the emperor than go against him. I just hope this series doesn't end with him leaving everything behind to live a no-name life with FL traveling the world or something although that's too a happy ending I think His new family and he should get to live with all the fame, amenities, and comfort but I am not saying as in make him the crown prince or something maybe he will leave his title and only be a great general.

Him being so anxious to save her that he basically ignored everything that was going on to just to come to her aid was really touching as he is some who is used to war so this shows how much he cares for her and even stayed with her until her condition was stable. Also Him bringing her to his camp where he is surrounded by his most trusted people just to keep her safe also tells he is quite comfortable showing his soldier how important she is to him.

I don't blame her mourning over him as she grew up with him but the way she is doing it is illogical how did she even pin everything up on ML is still a freaking mystery to me😂. I even updated the comment to add things after watching just 5 more minutes of the episode it just keeps getting worse and worse.😂

okay although I just started watching ep 17 but wth did the FL just said to ML that he is a bad person because he did not help them without considering the fact that he did save them before from a really grave situation, he said her at least 4-5 times till now and even eliminating all of these she is basically saying he should help the people who betrayed him less then a week ago causing massive harm to his people. Just because the perpetrators have now become victims she now expects ML to help them and just imagining the fact that the same people who were injured from the attack or saw there brothers die in front of them helplessly still participated in the plan for saving FL due to ML's instruction at this point it's not even humane for the Zenxi army to be asked to do such things. Did she had a sheltered upbringing and doesn't know about the world or hasn't ever seen war till now, litrally she was all about being a soldier having morals and principles until everything was good now the situation when against her she is vining and complaining. And for the first time in the whole story so far she gave him a gift and that too only to poison him to sleep after everything he has done and still had the gal to say "in the end we ended up being foes instead of friends" and I am like whose fault is that. What a memory for ML to have the first thing he ever received from his crush be just an instrument to poison him while using his feelings and trust against him. At this point, he should just better marry the minister's daughter who has a crush on him or just remain single I don't know but at least not end up with FL.

ML is just too good of a person, he and his army helps everyone unless the other side doesn't do anything bad because they just want peace and not power and just want everyone should fight to defeat the rebels. It isn't that his IQ has gone down he knows everything from the start FL barely has ever surprised him so far I think the Cui army's betrayal was the first time he looked surprised🤣🤣. But I too don't like the fact that he lets her have her way in which later he tries to actually minimize the damage she is going to cause for him. I just ended the 16th episode and felt really bad when ML had to laugh it off when FL said that the Zenxi army is now in a difficult position and he should free her instead and I was like who the hell cause all that he could have won or at least be in a better condition if it were not for her actions till now and her army.

I actually don't watch previews as they are often misleading and I am quite an overthinker 😂😂. Actually, I am only a little bit frustrated because FL is acting like a kid and throwing tantrums, and the more ML understands and doesn't get angry the more she tries to push the limits. Considering what happened to ML and his people, ML should have been angrier but rather than that just because he isn't showing it and trying to mend things with her he is being judged and criticized by FL, and even though some of her people and one of her family members died but she but what about all the families of all the people who died due to the Cui family's betrayal and all the trouble they have created so far for ML. I think it's just straight-out unfair that ML has to suffer through all this without FL even trying to consider his side of things and throwing one-sided tantrums. Also, she complains when just for once ML didn't trust her even when the whole situation supported his suspicion but in turn she hasn't ever tried to understand him even now she thinks he has ulterior motives in trying to help her and wants to escape but from what I think he will rather just hand her over to her family once their army arrives instead of using her as some kind of bargaining chip because working together and capturing Xichang helps everyone and not just him so him asking for help isn't even at the point where it could be considered a scheme. I guess she will again use his feelings in some way and escape, and he will just end up feeling betrayed again.

wth happened to FL in episode 16 is she chronically depressed, being sad and grieving for the death of someone close is okay but wanting to die is completely different. She is deliberately saying things to create misunderstandings and is trying to hurt ML, seriously if the same had done the same to someone else in the drama they would have just killed her off without trying to understand that the reason she is saying all those things is because she just wants to die. I Hope ML doesn't take her seriously enough as she is mourning right now otherwise the misunderstanding might last quite long and as FL's personality is shown so far she doesn't apologize or give explanations for her actions. She always goes like "This is war and we are all enemies so everything is fair and all". So I think after she collects herself back up instead of an apology or explanation there will be scenes like her trying to say something then stopping and ML at the end eventually just kind of understands her actions and forgive her or something similar.

💯😂 most MLs just go like "yaah she will eventually understand my actions blah blah blah" and what not instead of explanation things. Plus considering the situation right now where everything is working against ML i think FL will also make peace with the fact that he only meant to save her along with SFL and no one else as he believes both of them are innocent.

yes it seems fair enough to feel bad and angered as LCF was practically her brother. And even in that she still could understand why ML is doing things like confining and monitoring her using his personal guards as a excuse to protect her. I don't think they will make up atleast for some episodes maybe towards the end of war when the two armies corporate to attack xichang together.

episode 15 saved the whole drama for me I would have really dropped this drama if ML chose to rescue everyone on the Cui army just to save FL. The feeling of satisfaction I had when ML just stood there at the top of the mountain with his army looking down on the people who betrayed them taking their last breath and he only interfered when FL was in danger and rescued her only after the people responsible for harming his people all died because it's kind of military law that the ones who are responsible needs to bear the same consequences doesn't matter who they are. This shows that ML is not a love-struck idiot who sacrifices everything when it involves FL rather he showed how a leader should treat his soldiers and respect the ones who have died so that their deaths aren't in vain.

But if you observe the scene another interpretation could be that she wanted to know the location of the remnants of the Zenxi army as well as keep a close eye on their marshal (the ML) thus she asked her soldiers to go with them and as ML will eventually meet up with his soldiers one way or the other revealing the location of those worn out and wounded soldier. Thus now she knows the location of the soldier along with ML and while their side is at a complete disadvantage she on the other hand has a whole unit of her soldiers fully equipped and ready for battle meaning she can kill them all and take ML hostage with her for further negotiation. Plus I don't think she will or should feel disappointed over the fact that ML didn't trust her because the current situation is against her completely and her own past actions also kind of support why she can't be trusted😅😅.

yaah there is that too🤣 ML's idiot father becoming the emperor was another one of the worst case scenarios🤣. Let's see how it goes.

I'm watching twinkling watermelon, the matchmakers, vigilante, and love is panacea. Most of them are k dramas so only 2 episodes come out each week so I just switch to whichever gets updated first among them.
