Hi! Same here. I can't believe its Youku tho..I definitely have high expectations now!
Apart from Ash, do you know any more upcoming Chinese BL?

I’m watching A Winter Sun, Blue Lips and Bittersweet Love and all 3 will end in 2 weeks 😢

Finally, we have the MDL countdown! It’s releasing next Friday, 14th August 🎉

After Sammy’s Children’s Day and Deep In, I already know this is going to be my next favourite Chinese BL.

I seriously cannot wait! When it comes to BL, this is exactly the kind of series I get so excited for. 😭❤️

Wow, I love how the first 6 episodes focus on the university theme, while the remaining 6 episodes show them as mature working adults.

It honestly feels like we’re getting two series in one. I wish we could get more BLs like this, where we actually get to see the characters go through university and then grow into mature working adults, instead of relying on flashbacks, which we’ve seen countless times before.

This series really doesn’t feel like a typical university BL to me. It’s so unique and different, and I love that.

I love BoatOat, but something is missing in this show. I can't put my finger on it. I'm a little disappointed.
Same for me

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the camera angles and background music in this series are so unique and different?

I’ve watched so many BLs, but the cinematography in this series feels so distinctive. The camera work is absolutely beautiful. One example is the scene where the car drives up the hill and we see it from far away, or the breathtaking shots of the mountain scenery. Every scene feels so thoughtfully filmed.

I was thinking the same thing as you, but I think it's just wishful thinking on his half-sister's part. She may…
Apparently it’s going to be out next Friday 14th August

I’m so excited as well, giving me Sammy’s Children’s Day vibes

In the novel they are not blood relatives. Bei Lu Qing father adopted her and she knows about it.I don't understand…
Thank you, that makes sense now. But I still think it’s wrong because we’re watching the series, not the novel. In the series, it would be an incest relationship.

Well, I wrote seven sentences, so you probably interpreted it differently, and that’s completely fine. No biggie.

I’ve said it many times, when it comes to BL, no country does it better than China 🇨🇳 in terms of acting, plot, cinematography, and fight choreography.

Ash is coming out next Friday, giving us another Chinese BL just as Bittersweet, Blue Lips, and A Winter Sun all come to an end over the next two weeks.

We need more Chinese BL 🥳

Can Someone Please Explain Lu Xin's Balcony Scene?

I am so confused. When Lu Xin was drunk on the balcony, was she talking about her brother? Maybe she simply does not want him to get married because she is afraid of losing someone she is close to, but I cannot tell if the drama is hinting at something more or if I am reading too much into it.

The line that confused me the most was when Lu Xin said, “We don’t even share the same father, so why can’t we have different mothers too?” The way I interpreted it was that she was wishing they had different mothers so they would not be considered half siblings. Does that mean she was imagining a situation where they could be together, or was there another meaning behind her words?

I also keep thinking about Episode 3 when she pointed a gun at her brother and told him to strip naked. That scene really threw me off. Was it meant to show an unhealthy and possessive family dynamic, or was it simply there to create shock and tension?

I genuinely cannot tell what the writers are trying to convey. Do you think Lu Xin’s feelings are meant to be understood as deep sibling attachment, or is the story suggesting something more complicated (incest)? I am curious to hear how everyone else interpreted these scenes.

That scene where XiaoFan brought fruit to Lu Qing was pure tension from beginning to end. He dropped the basket so deliberately, and while gathering the scattered fruit with one hand, the other slowly brushed against Lu Qing's thigh. The moment Lu Qing caught his wrist and whispered, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" everything changed.

Then XiaoFan stepped closer, closed the distance between them, and gently licked Lu Qing's ear. It was such an intense, thrilling, and emotionally charged moment. The chemistry was impossible to ignore. Watching them spend the night together and wake up still wrapped in each other's embrace made the whole scene feel even more intimate.

Then came the chaos. The entire family walked in, Lu Xin screamed, and everything exploded.

I have not read the novel, but I cannot help feeling that XiaoFan seduced Lu Qing intentionally. Maybe getting caught by the family was never an accident. Maybe it was all part of his plan from the very beginning.

Now it is time for the comeback, and I honestly cannot wait for the next episodes.

I know people can have multiple jobs, and that part makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense to me is that he has six different jobs and somehow runs into Jung I Hyeon at every single one of them. Even when Jung I Hyeon gets a massage, Jae On is his massage therapist. His babysitting job is also at Jung I Hyeon’s house. That’s a bit too convenient. It just doesn’t feel realistic that someone would keep running into the same person at all of their different workplaces.

How many jobs does Jae On have?

Massage therapist, actor, convenience store worker, café worker, costume character, and pet babysitter.

I know it’s just a TV series, but wouldn’t it make more sense to work one job instead of constantly changing uniforms and commuting from one workplace to another?

In my country, having multiple jobs can also mean paying more tax, so I don’t really see the point of having that many jobs.

And what are the chances of Jae On running into Jung I Hyeon at every single one of those jobs? Even the pet sitting job is at Jung I Hyeon’s house 😂

This show is so cute and adorable, but it’s also hilariously unrealistic lol.

Seriously, a 6 minute episode? We have to wait 7 days, that's 168 hours, for just 6 minutes. It's so short that by the time the next episode comes out, I can barely remember what happened last week. Honestly, the entire series is shorter than my lunch break 😂

I’m watching it on iQIYI in my country and it works. Try changing your VPN to Australia 🇦🇺 and you should be able to watch it. I just finished watching Episodes 3 and 4.

I’m so glad more and more BL series like this are becoming available on Netflix worldwide. I can’t wait for the day when it’s just the norm.

I still have to delete my watch history because I don’t want my family to know I’m watching BL 😂

Honestly, I preferred one episode a week. I don’t want it to end too fast. Another week of extension would be nice. I still remember watching Episode 1, and now we’re already near the end. Good shows always seem to end too soon.

That's not gonna happen. 😅 Double Helix is on a whole different level. 🤌 That guy is a complete black flag.…
Lu Feng is mentally ill and definitely a bigger red flag than Big Jane 😂

I’m more referring to the part where your boss walks in and it turns out to be your ex boyfriend. That kind of vibe 😂
