My Review ~ https://mydramalist.com/profile/7584231/review/483670 Turned out to be longer than expected ~ Overall…
Wow, that’s almost 4,000 words :) probably one of the longest reviews I’ve ever read. I’m honoured to be the first to give you a thumbs-up and mark it as helpful.
As much as I loved the series, I think China should stop making BL altogether until the ban is lifted. The whole…
I get where you’re coming from about the fear of bans, but I really have to disagree here. Revenged Love is loved by millions worldwide, and it is not airing in China, so there’s no realistic way it’s going to be banned. If we followed your logic, then we would also have to “ban” the current ABO Desire that is airing right now, as well as the upcoming Kill To Love, which is set to be China’s first uncensored historical martial arts BL. That would mean robbing audiences of some of the most beautifully produced BLs in existence just because of a “what if” scenario.
When it comes to potential, Thailand 🇹🇭, South Korea 🇰🇷, Taiwan 🇹🇼, and Japan 🇯🇵 simply cannot match what China consistently delivers in terms of cinematography, acting, storytelling, and chemistry. And when we talk about historical costume dramas, horse riding sequences, and martial arts fight scenes, China operates on another level entirely. The scale, elegance, precision, and sheer intensity are unmatched.
Even The Untamed, which was heavily censored, still pulled in billions of views and brought in millions to China’s economy. Imagine the cultural and economic impact of a high-quality, uncensored Chinese BL with sweeping period costumes, breathtaking horseback scenes, and masterfully choreographed martial arts.
That’s why I’m so excited for Kill To Love. It’s not just another BL, it’s a massive step forward for the genre, and I can’t wait to see how it’s brought to life. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Iwesx2aIas
We should not be talking about banning BL in China until the law changes, instead, more creators should follow in Revenged Love’s footsteps and release their work internationally, where it can be appreciated without restrictions. This is how the genre will truly grow.
Thank you, your comments mean a lot to me. I know I’m about five years late, so not many people will get to see my review, but I still wanted to share it from the heart.
Just watched episode 1 and what a great start. Rearrange has a band that can actually sing, and the best part is there is no over-the-top comedy or cringe moments. It is a high school drama but written with such maturity. I love how they show the younger Win and Nut, then 27 years later we see the older Win who regrets never confessing his love to Nut earlier. It is another time travel story and I am enjoying every minute of it. It makes you think, what would you do if you had the chance to go back 27 years to age 17? The cast, acting, and plot are all excellent so far. I especially appreciate the attention to detail in the “back in time” scenes, from the old cars to the heritage houses. I am really looking forward to the next 9 episodes.
This is hands down the best high school drama I have ever seen. The fighting scenes are some of the most intense and well-choreographed I have ever watched in a school setting. The acting is strong across the board, the plot is engaging, and the cast is absolutely stunning. There is not a single boring episode from start to finish.
Hwang Min Hyun completely stole the show with his talent and charisma. I am already counting down the days for Season 2 because this feels like the beginning of something truly special.
This drama is a masterpiece and an absolute must-watch.
why look up revenged love and comment if you don't like it
You called @SarahJean30 a dummy, which is both disrespectful and uncalled for. Disagreeing with someone’s opinion is fine, but insulting them crosses the line. For example, if someone says they didn’t like a certain scene or character, the respectful way to respond is to explain why you disagree, not to resort to name-calling. A healthy discussion should focus on points and evidence, not personal attacks. Otherwise it shuts down conversation and makes the space hostile for everyone.

Wow, impressive. You managed to be rude, disrespectful, and misspell words all in one short sentence. Maybe work on your spelling before throwing around “dummy” regardless of whether English is your first language or not.
The best series of the year is over . We will miss Wei Wei’s laughter ❤️ and Chi Cheng’s kindness 🤗.This…
I agree with you, I was so sad that Addicted never got the proper ending it deserved. I was so obsessed I ended up reading both novels nine times, and in the books Gui Hai and Bai Luo Yin actually get married and have the happy ending they deserve. Now I’m off to read the Revenge Love novel.
Since Revenge Love got a remake, I’m really hoping the 2016 Addicted will get one too. That would honestly be a dream come true.
I have never been this obsessed with a series in my life. For the past 24 episodes, my Mondays and Tuesdays have belonged entirely to Revenged Love. I would set my alarm for 9:30pm, then again at 9:55pm, counting down the minutes until that pure rush of happiness when the clock struck 10:00pm and the episode began.
People say, “We had a happy ending and it’s just a show.” But to me, it has never been just a show. For two months, we have lived alongside these four main leads, feeling every high and low, every laugh, every tear. We have watched them grow, hurt, heal, and love, and somewhere along the way, we grew with them too.
Telling me to simply “move on” now that it is ending feels like telling someone who has lost a beloved pet to just get a new one. You cannot replace a bond like that.
I honestly do not know what to do now that it has finished. No series on my current list comes close to this masterpiece. No other story has given me this adrenaline before every episode. Some stories do not simply end. They take a piece of your heart and quietly carry it away.
For me, that piece will always be my Mondays and Tuesdays, and I will never get them back.
Not trying to compare, but now that the masterpiece Revenged Love is over, ABO Desire is the closest BL I can…
If China cannot do it, then I really hope South Korea steps up and produces a full 16 episode BL drama with the same scale and budget as their hit K dramas on Netflix. The market would explode if they invested in it. Do not get me wrong, I love Korean BLs, but most of them are short format series with lower budgets compared to mainstream K dramas. Imagine if we had a BL with the same production quality as Crash Landing on You, Queen of Tears, or My Demon, with sweeping cinematography, lavish sets, intricate storylines, and an A list cast that pulls in global audiences.
Now picture someone like Cha Eun Woo, Kim Soo Hyun, Park Bo Gum, or Song Kang leading a BL romance with full character arcs, deep emotional beats, and multiple subplots. South Korea already has the storytelling expertise, global reach through Netflix, and a proven track record of making international hits. If they applied that formula to a BL drama, it could easily dominate streaming charts worldwide and change the industry forever.
Not trying to compare, but now that the masterpiece Revenged Love is over, ABO Desire is the closest BL I can put beside it, mainly because both are Chinese and uncensored.
I really hope China 🇨🇳 lifts the BL ban one day, because when it comes to potential, Thailand 🇹🇭, South Korea 🇰🇷, Taiwan 🇹🇼, and Japan 🇯🇵 cannot quite match them. China dominates in so many areas such as cinematography, acting, storytelling, chemistry, and their breathtaking historical costume dramas. No one does horse riding and martial arts fight scenes like China, with the scale, the elegance, the precision, and the sheer intensity on another level.
Even The Untamed, which was heavily censored, still pulled in billions of views and generated millions to China's economy. Just imagine the impact of a high quality, uncensored Chinese BL with all the grandeur of historical costumes, sweeping horse riding sequences, and beautifully choreographed martial arts.
I am really looking forward to upcoming 'Kill to Love', our first proper Chinese historical and martial arts BL. It feels like such a big step for the genre, and I cannot wait to see how they bring it to life. trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Iwesx2aIas
Hopefully, in the next couple of decades, a new generation of leadership in China will be more open and accepting. The talent is already there, they just need the freedom to let it shine.

Bad Buddy has over 55,000.
The biggest hype right now is Immortality, a Chinese 🇨🇳 censored BL that hasn’t even been released yet and already has over 107,000 comments.
So yeah, 23,500 comments for Revenged Love? That’s just the warm up. 😂
