Do you know how many times I had to rewind parts in episode 4? š If you blinked more than once during this…
Youāre right on the first point and some bits of the other points too.
For point two, I think Seon-Jae has psd about being around people because someone (or more than one person) either stalked him and constantly took pictures of him or he wasnāt stalked but the flashes of cameras gave him psd or he was involved in a scandal where someone took compromising pictures of him and a girl which ruined her life.
For point 3, everything Soo-bin said to Ye-ji prior to the current events were true. He WAS working towards being worthy of her thatās why he hadnāt made a move yet. Itās just a shame that he got caught up in Da-Eunās bs and now all that hard work is being derailed.
Also is that club manager pimping Soo-bin out or is it just me?
Man, what a find. This drama is so damn good. Part of me is glad I found it so soon and the other part of me is wishing I found it when it completed so I donāt have this excruciating wait until the next episode.
This is where it all started for me. This drama sparked my interest and love for Asian dramas and movies. For me itās the best coming of age Asian drama that managed to mix the heartbreak, the humour, the cringe/embarrassing moments and relatability of having your first crush. It may be my nostalgia talking but Iāll never forget the spirit of this drama. I search for it every few years to watch again.
You can't tell us how many? Your list tells us the exact number of dramas you've watched. This whole article is…
I only created my MDL account this year. Iāve been watching Asian dramas for the last 8 years. Iāve been adding dramas to my watch list as and when I remember them so I can keep track (the reason for creating my MDL account) but most of the dramas that Iāve added are only the ones Iāve watched this year.
I tend to read a lot of the MDL articles. This one just happens to be about ratings. I guess if what youāre really asking is why I commented. Itās because a lot of the comments on MDL and especially under articles to do with ratings almost always ends up being a back and forth about which drama is good or bad based on the ratings but ratings are only a part of the bigger picture, especially as the way we consume content is rapidly changing with technology.
For me personally, if Iām unsure about watching something Iāll take my preferences, the ratings, what the comments are āreallyā saying, the length and the themes into account in order to make a decision but the decision is not whether to watch. Itās to get a feel for the show. If the comments say the pacing is slow and I watch a couple of episodes and the pacing is indeed slow then Iāll know I can drop it because it means Iām not just imagining it and it probably wonāt get any better. If the comments seem to have an issues with a particular thing and are saying that thing ruined the drama, a lot of the time I find that that thing does not ruin the drama. A lot of criticisms and low views/ratings are due to personal preferences and sometimes fan wars, so I try to always give something a chance before writing it off or stating my opinion on it.
Iām sure yāall know this by now but if youāre interested in watching something, just watch it. Donāt let ratings, viewership or comments sway you. I canāt tell you the number of dramas Iāve watched that have been dragged in the comments or rated low 7s, only to find that not only is the drama good but itās up there with some of the really good ones.
Iām watching all the dramas mentioned above and theyāre all entertaining in their own way. Period dramas and soap opera style k-dramas will always do better with Korean tv viewers because those viewers tend to be older and more traditional. Likewise, dramas that are more modern and set in the fantasy/supernatural genre do better with international viewers in streaming. Just look at Netflix, Disney & Prime.
What tipped me off is that he only seems to be nice to her in public but when they are in private he seems annoyed to be with her. Like heās being forced to. That private piano lesson was filled with so much tension and I donāt mean the good kind.
i'm a sucker for besties to lovers so these first two eps hurt me š„¹
Itās even sadder when you realise he actually likes Yeji and is being blackmailed into saying he likes Da-Eun. Thatās it for him now because the ML Soon-Jae is now in the picture and unfortunately, the damage has already been done even though itās not his fault.
I knew its Da Eun he likes but why is he doing these things to Ye Ji, to make Da Eun jealous?
Itās the opposite, I think. I suspect Da-Eun is blackmailing him into pretending itās her he likes. I didnāt peg her for the villain but itās looking like sheās evil. I feel for the female friend of the FL because Da-Eun is already messing with her.
Yeah, episode 3 makes everything clearer now. She has something on Soobin and is blackmailing him into choosing her. I think itās Yeji he really likes.
