I picked up on that too in the first episode. From the moment he volunteered to clean the bathroom and said he worked for the uncle I suspected him but then he gave the phone to FL instead of keeping it so I realised he needed something from her that she didn’t know she had/only she has access to.

I got the vibes from him from the first episode but was really hoping my instincts were wrong and that he was there to help the FL.

Also, back when I watched this I didn’t interpret that scene in the last episode as SA. I can see how people may think it fits into that box but given the context of that whole scene, I’m pretty sure they were having angry sex.

Anyone who’s ever been in an argument with their partner knows that when you are so mad, if your partner tries to touch you or comes near you, you are not having it. You might even throw hands. Z was angry that Chen Yi didn’t tell him he was leaving and that’s what he was reacting against. Not Chen Yi’s advances. Usually that intense fighting turns into makeup sex because there is a fine line between anger and lust. I’ve seen a few scenes in bls that I would consider straight up SA. *cough* *couch* Love Mechanics (even though they showed the guy as being ‘ok’ with it afterwards. I still didn’t think it was ok).

I am in no way trying to excuse SA and think that consent is an important part of any relationship. I also think that implicit consent is also a part of relationships. It’s built on trust, really knowing your partner and having a level of comfortability with them.

Exactly. This is why many people have multiple su*cide attempts and often it’s after they seem to be doing better. Unless you address the underlying causes, everything is just a bandaid and that includes a ‘new perspective.’

I didn’t like the su*cide propaganda either. It was essentially victim blaming/guilt tripping. It’s as if they think most ppl who contemplate su*cide don’t know that their loved ones would be left devastated (in as much as any person can really know anything without having the experience of it playing out). People know this, this is why it often takes years of struggling with something for them to actually go through with it. Their pain sadly cannot be remedied by the future pain of their loved ones. The better message would have been to focus on the cause (which was how a person’s life in SK can be made or broken by getting employment. There is too much financial and social stigma tied up in being employed that you are seen as a literal failure if you fail to get employment).

I co-sign the message of valuing life but it’s not devaluing life that leads people to these drastic actions. Therefore the solution is not guilt tripping people who are basically on their knees. The solution is to help create an environment where people are valued.

The names of the characters are different so I don’t think it is the same character he is playing. Also he is not trans in this one. It’s only episode two but it’s looking like he is playing a male childhood friend of the FL who also worked for the ML (uncle) for a bit.

This is the absolute truth. I realised this not too long ago and is the reason why I will try watching something at least twice before dropping it and will try to let enough time pass between viewings. Being ‘receptive’ to a drama is a big part of being able to fully enjoy it and sometimes you don’t even know you aren’t receptive at that time.

Whatever you envision it will be, it’s different to that. So, watch it but not because of LDW and not because you hope it’ll be similar to his other dramas. Trust me, it is different. Good different but different.

There’s an MDL article that says this is a spinoff and that the Park Ji Bin character returns in this spinoff after being in Killer’s Shopping List.

I was surprised to learn it was only 2 episodes because it did not feel like it concluded. It felt like they were just getting started.

It was a waste of Fluke’s potential. Still, at least he’s getting the chance to spread his wings now.

It’s kinda obvious that Charlie isn’t dead. Jeff is too calm which leads me to believe this is part of the plan he’s been hatching since the last few episodes.

I also don’t understand why people are rating the drama already (especially since they haven’t dropped it). It would be better just to rate the episodes so far.

IMO although there are violent scenes/topics, so far they’ve cut away before showing anything graphic. (Maybe I’ve just become immune though). 😅

Can anyone else chime in as to whether they think this series is violent/scary.
