well if it';s all a dream or they're in a coma then they didn't really travel anywhere so nowhere to go back from. this turn of events is definitely on the cards. but again censorship rules are not arbitrary and everyone in the industry would at this stage know what could be done without affecting too much the story they want to tell.

what is the actual story that drama is trying to convey.? is there a message?what's weird here is that they don't have am overarching plot other than that they decided to stay just because it's easier to make money. ok, they are not trying to get bck. so should the mother and father's relationship get fixed, should the brother get an opportunity to become a better man?will his daughter view him differently. should all of them ry t make the world a better place for women *& people with "freedom challenges". is it just the case of our couple getting together? will FL discover something important that's missing in her life that will force her to re-eavluate how she views the world?

honestly for the last 10 eps i'm treating it as an eye-candy devoid of any meaningful objective and i dont know what to root for either. does any of that have anything to do with censorship. well, within the 11 episodes that wehave left funny-gas would definitely help to wrap it up :D

anything is possible. like he coul dbe a terrorist trying to kill everyone or he could be a guy trying to stop a terrorist... or just some guy going to work. my only bugbear is that they let that ancestor misunderstanding carry on for so long.

well they could, like it's a bootstrap paradox.. one explanation is that their action will spawn another timeline. so there will be one shen family whose timeline is unchanged and another shen family creating a different timeline where they carry on from where they are now.

if they dont go back to the future then they dont have to explain which method/resolution it's solved by.

i've agreed with " its already 21 episodes , this still needs resolved". and i for one think this should've been resolved like at least 10 episodes ago :D

well, something has to happen which would make their grandfather's claims untenable like the other lady shen dying or coming up with explanation like "we are own ancestors". like are they still trying to play along with the script she created in the beginning?

this needs to be resolved soon! like it's getting on my nerves now beyond reason.they fell for each other ages ago so it's not a slow burn. it's a misunderstanding dragged over at least 21 episodes. 2 minutes into e01 narrator says that he is not their ancestor but they thought he was. intro shows them getting married so obviously they figured it out somehow i hope it's not in e32.

i think the rule applies if it's implied that time travel happened (like went there, back) and explained by magic (not sure about that though) or they brought someone/thing back. here they are still in the past so technically they never come back so the story is unfinished. if they do come back then that magic fog is some gas leak and they are all in a coma :D

but yeah the intro shows FL burning away and a magic butterfly is floating around her so could they be just about to go back and then stayed back again...

you're right. also, she was kneeling in front of her ancestor's portrait before transmigrating. yeah the ending was alright too. good show overall.

well yeah how many generations does it take? would it have helped if they didn't worship him as much? who knows. maybe that's why it's not a common theme. anyway, i wonder how they're going to wrap it up - it just can't go on like this for another 11 episodes. now i don't even believe that he could be their ancestor.

oh i think it's good, and if you said that AFF is similar to invincible stepmother then it would be like 90% similarity. but other than running the restaurant then i see nothing in common plot wise. could you spoil me please?

lol, almost every female time traveler/transmigrator sets up a restaurant. other than that the plot is completely different.

here plot looks very unusual. like time travel/transmigration without some "accident" is pretty rare. unless they all had some food poisoning that wasn't shown - the whole family just walked through magic portal. also, romantic entanglement like that with an ancestor i'm only aware of "My Fairy Doctor" and even then it';s a bit of a stretch.

in GoD she was a matriarch in a similar set up as here, so not a lot of screen time, but she really captures attention. If nothing else check out first 3 minutes of 2nd episode when the whole family is together for the first time (it's better with last 15 minutes of e01)

She was awesome in Guardians of Dafeng.

eh, i was wondering about that. but then i remembered the issue Marty from Back to the Future had. Was it really that wrong for him to get together with his mom in the past? same set up just a few generations later. i'd say an honest mistake. I didn't know that it was an s&m drama either.. i thought there were some scenes with some omissions/strange editing but nothing here felt weirder than usual. anyway, i too didn't realize it was something that required an acquired taste.

if you mean when she fell for him as "Xiao Wu" in 2nd life, totally agree with you. we weren't shown any positive side of their relationship . Like it was shown that she was forced to marry him and then she was essentially abused. So, did she have feelings for him originally. Although, in the last episodes she says that he went proper crazy after his mother shown up in her 1st life as well. so there must've been some positives. but yeah for most of the show as far is this plot was going I was like how the hell...
but great show overall.

fantastic so far. lol, i should;ve waited until it finished airing, it really has vibes of a great show.can't wait for the rest :D

nah i really meant the use of a zodiac sign names unrelated to any particular drama . i have some awareness that systems are very different but too lazy to research. in time im sure i'll come across someone who will respond with 3K line post which starts with "did you know that leo is actually a bird ..." 🤣
