same i love her and her acting so much, since I've seen her from Amidst a snowstorm of love, i was so mesmerized by her and started watching some of her dramas that i found interesting like The princess royal and Our generation. she's such a gem and i can't believe she's still starting her career, can't wait for her journey to unfold. THEN didn't give xiguang any solid confession to hold on when he wanted for her to wait for him... LIKE THE AUDACITY OF THIS MAN. i hope he atleast have a bit of a character development because at this point he's just an eyesore

i don't think she barely knew the guy. the series might've lacked more scenes with them but i think it's implied that they spent time especially that they're in the same friend group. we see xiguang analysing sml's behaviors towards her and the fact xiguang liked her to the point of pursuing and even asking around about him shows that aside from actually liking sml she liked the idea of liking him too. but because the show would drag too much if we see xiguang and sml more interaction they obv didn't see the need to fill up more scenes. that's just my take
