Fell short and disappointing for me and sadly no real growth and to many things made no sense. I love the actors…
I think you didn't get the themes of this one. The theme of this "season" was Dreams, Distance Relationships, Marriage, Commitment and Death. How far are you willing to go to support your beloved's dream? Is your love strong and selfless enough to put your partner's dream before yours? Is your love strong enough to survive distance? There was obviously character growth here. The fact that they stay together after so many years apart is a testament of their love.
After about 20 Bls or more, Love Mate stays on my top 1 for a very specific reason and that is the theme of Forgiveness. That and the overwhelming amount of cuddling and kissing scenes we get here instead of crumbles many BLs give.
Rancorous grudge holders can't see the beauty of this drama because they don't understand forgiveness. It's true this couple had a rough start and did questionable things to each other, but their last heart to heart honest conversation by the end of the series was genuine.
They really were sorry about their past behavior and committed to change.
As far as the story and the characters were written, Ha Ram never had any dark ulterior motives for chasing Jun as much as he did. Ha Ram himself explained that his motive for liking Jun so much was simply because Jun showed him kindness once. Sometimes, a simple act of kindness is all it takes to make someone fall head over heels for you.
Ha Ram was never after monetary or sexual advantages. He once stayed after hours at work just to support Jun on his project. He even reprimanded Jun for having a dirty mind when Ha Ram wasn't even thinking about sex at all.
Man this BL has me feeling the way I felt while watching OnlyFriends cos why is it so chaotic?!😭 the love triangle…
From the few shows I've seen this is the best love triangle because all three boys are so sweet despite their flaws. Also the end pairing doesn't matter, this is a show about the whole journey not the destination. Both boys were a perfect choice for the main character, it's just that one of the boys went trough a heartbreak first and matured first so he was ready first. The other boy went trough a heartbreak later so he matured later.
It's not hard to imagine a different timeline because both pairs are so unproblematic and make sense.
You didn’t set your standards too high, there are KBLs way better than this.I’ve been binge watching many…
Some things just click with our personal taste. That's why people tend to say overrated and underrated. It's just that some popular shows don't match our taste and some less popular do.
Not sure about this. Individually, the story is quite interesting because of the character development, but I…
It's because of the longer movie format. I did get the chemistry though. I got a few goosebumps in three particular scenes, there were a few sparks there.
As someone with depression, Jae Won mentions a few times about the fake mask he has to put on, but then we get that scene where Yoon Won breaks down and cries because all of the pressure she's going trough.
This was a great reminder not only for Jae Won but also for us that we're not the only ones using masks. The happy upbeat person closest to you might be suffering just as much. Sometimes we focus way too much on our own pain that we forget others might be going trough as much or even worse than us.
I watched this wondering why is everyone throwing themselves at this wasteman? But then he took off his shirt.…
Haruta is charming as heck. He might be a slob at home but he has way too many charms to ignore. Both in the original movie and in this version the boss writes a letter describing all the great qualities he sees in Haruta.
The series removed a sex scene that were added back in the movie version. The movie removed quite a few scenes from the series. A new post credits scene was added to the movie.

Something I think Japanese (and Taiwanese) dramas do really well is immerse the viewer into the series. I never…
I love Japanese it really is pleasing to hear, the phonems are clearer and more easily identifiable than others and I prefer their culture, mannerisms and history however you kinda generalized there.
Korean Dramas are currently on the top of the Asian Dramas industry for a reason. All countries you've mentioned have exceptionally high quality perfect acting titles as well low quality bad acting titles.

It's not my favorite but I'll definitely cherish the memories and rewatch one day.
Guess I'll be watching the series version very soon.

Justice for pure hearted Ha Ram!
