I hate the grandfather/King so much. He is so immature & throws a temper tantrum at the slightest convenience.
He has dementia that's why he acts like that. If you know the kdrama Dongyi, he was the son of that main character. He felt strongly about his mother's lowly identity since her identity was what caused her to suffer a lot

it's so sad to see an excellent actress as lee Seyoung being downgraded by the shippers who are jealous of seeing…
i don't know about others but i'm not a shipper of this drama's leads. i just dislike some of that new drama's fans coming here and calling this show boring when they cannot be compared since this is a historical drama/sageuk

Title The Red Sleeve Spoiler
Without spoiling the plot, how sad is the ending? Is it bittersweet or scarlet heart level sad
Both characters are based on real life people (unlike Scarlet Heart where female lead is fictional) so in a way it's sadder than Scarlet Heart. There was a 2007 kdrama made also based on the same historical figures called Yi San

This is my first historical drama. But all historical dramas are so cringe sometimes?
many modern romcom kdramas are cringe too. i will defend good historical dramas like this.

Korean actors are really judged and pay a lot for their personal lives. Meanwhile many hollywood and British actors who are more well known also have their crazy affairs/adultery, people do bash them but many people still tune in to their work and they don't have to pay damages. It's crazy the son who has nothing to do with his father's affair is affected. I'm not sure how well known the son or his face is, but if he's not instantly recognizable, his scenes should be able to be shown without bringing negative attenion to the drama.

I miss Moon Chae Won so much, she's too talented to be only known by the average audience from Flower of Evil and Innocent Man (these two works are great and her acting in both is really amazing but she needs to be more known for more works). It's too hard to be her fan, she wasn't even able to attend SBS awards to get her award. I wish this drama airs this year and gets super popular and she'll receive more recognition.

Netflix confirmed licensing on their Instagram account. And announced additional dramas and 1 movie coming in…
is this for Netflix in general or Korean netflix only? i'm surprised because i don't think a drama like korea-khitan war is something they would provide platform to air as it's a very old style sageuk that doesn't usually appeal to international audiences (except maybe the lead is a former idol)?

It's very obvious that Yoo Jung's character is the lady that Song Kang's character was seeing dancing in the historical past. That 's why I didn't understand why they were trying to hide her face.

this sageuk is more like the old style sageuks where there are more political scenes than romance and other aspects.…
try to download or watch the episodes on myasiantv. you can also find the latest episode on facebook for this drama, you just need to download or watch the episode before it gets taken down.
i don't think netflix is interested in putting sageuks of this kind, it's not the kind that appeals to modern kdrama fans, which is the main audience of netflix.

is this good news for netflixhttps://twitter.com/netflixkcontent/status/1742350062275952789
i will be surprised if netflix takes this show, they normally don't get sageuks if it doens't appeal to modern kdrama fans or if it doesn't have someone who is a big name

Missing Moon CHae Woon so much. I know she's quite choosy with the dramas she acts but hopefully, she'll be back…
I miss her so much too, hope she's given a very good quality project very soon.

I've waited for a year for Moon Chae Won to attend award shows and get an award. I do respect the dead and respect the decision (I even thought even if the Payback cast attended that she might not choose not to attend since she might not be in the mood to celebrate) , but it's honestly so disappointing. I hope her absence doesn't mean she will not get any award, I hope that she can still get whatever award they would have give her if she would have attended.

I have never heard of a celebrity from my country committing suicide, while this is the 8th article I read about…
There's more than 8 Korean celebrities that have committed suicide since I first became a Kdrama fan. I believe most celebs have at least been acquainted with at least 2 people who have committed suicide.

It's so unbelieavable. I mean just last year, he and my fave Moon Chae Won were announcing the winners at SBS Drama awards, thinking that this year they'll be the ones to win the same awards. Never expected that he had less than a year to live.
