Got it! Maybe I should wait too — so many dramas to watch already. And I’m still not over what happened with Fated Hearts (great first 15-16 episodes and then the rest went downhill very quickly).

Watch beginning of episode 1. ML’s friend convinces him to drive up because supposedly a woman has been asking about ML. ML initially refuses to come but changes his mind when friend tells him the name (FL’s name) — ML had seen FL at some party previously, liked her so he agreed to drive up to FL’s hometown. And, of course, on the drive over, he had the accident when caused his to stop being a surgeon. But FL didn’t come to visit him in the hospital at any point. And now, when they met after a year, FL seems to not know ML at all and doesn’t have any interest in him. So ML is confused about that and tries to get FL to remember him but fails. Now, there’s an explanation for what happened and why this misunderstanding occurred but we haven’t gotten to it in the drama yet :)

How’s The Unclouded Soul so far? I really like both Seven and Neo but a bit scared to start watching it because Love in the Clouds is still fresh in my memory 🥰

99.9% of us feel the same! But very soon it will be mostly ML + FL and only sprinkles of 2ML

Sigh 😔… The less I think about 2ML, the better, lol… But the same author did a great job exploring status inequality in You Are My Glory. I think that was done very reasonably/realistically. But JerkXu is a far, far cry from Yu Tu 🙄

Totally understand your feelings. I think most C-dramas start at 2 per day but then platforms roll a random number (0, 1, 2) to determine how many episodes to air. And then Viki/Netflix usually have their own delays. Trying to keep up with TFF was very confusing for my friends who use Netflix 😳

He’s not a horrible person so if there’s a person who can challenge him & make him change for the better (it surely isn’t SnakeRong), it’s fine. He just need to keep his paws off the FL :)

Yes :) It’s important to keep in mind when the leads tease each other about paying for things :)

FL’s family is very wealthy. They are “new money” meaning her parents obtained that wealth while FL was growing up (unlike ML who is part of “old money”). FL tries to keep her wealth and status on the down low, but she definitely would have access to $7K USD :)

By this point, I think the viewers would have preferred 2ML to focus on Chris (coworker from risk department) 😁

Haha… It’s a bit more like chaebol ML + rich FL. Texhnically, ML isn’t in line to inherit the company, so he might be less powerful, but FL’s parents became rich while FL was growing up, so she’s “new money”. In one of the early episodes, when ML’s grandpa & others were discussing investment proposal from FL’s company, they called them “nouveau riche” (new rich) which is meant as an insult in that context.

But overall episode count is known from the very beginning — that’s what we were discussing and not the exact release schedule. I know multiple people IRL who were confused by partial episode counts when TFF was being released.

What was the top index for The First Frost? It was so long ago, I don’t remember 😳

Hey, it’s still better than dramas from other counties which release 1-2 episodes per WEEK.
I would prefer 99 episodes per day, of course, but it will give everyone a chance to catch up on some of the other dramas :)

There’s going to be a bit of an explanation for some of 2ML’s behavior but — generally — most people in the comments section don’t like him. Reasons are too numerous to explain — better to focus on our nice leads :)

Netflix for some unknown reason for many C-dramas only shows a count of available episodes + 1-3 episodes coming next. It has happened with too many dramas to count 😳

They do some things for laughs for sure. They aren’t being super serious here.
