This should have solely focused on ML + FL and trying to make their relationship work despite power dynamics. I don’t understand why creators didn’t realize everyone would dislike 2ML.

There’s a slight hint of romance but nothing happened so far (16 episodes). This isn’t a romance drama — it’s a comedy/satire.

Someone told me that even on MDL people set up many accounts — not only to downvote/troll but also to earn flowers & boost their favorite actor/actress (more flowers = more popularity). Supposedly, that’s how Seven Tan got #2 (now - #3) on MDL ranking

They are not actually Esther Yu fans but either fans of other artists or just plain trolls. When Zhao Lusi and Esther Yu both had dramas airing at the same time, these third-party trolls tries to incite a war between fandoms by pretending to be Lu Si’s fans and trashing Esther and the other way around.

I just block/mute troll accounts and move on :)

Wang Chu Ran was dubbed in Are You the One (historical) but not dubbed in Fireworks of My Heart (or so people have said on MDL).

It was very nice of YOUKU and iQIYI to give us two contrasting dramas airing simultaneously — after watching episodes of this serious drama, we can unwind & laugh at “How Dare You!?” (this is kind of like when The First Frost and The Best Thing were airing at almost the same time) 😊

Early ratings are always low due to an MDL glitch and due to a flood of antifans/haters/bored people who give bad ratings to all episodes (even ones not aired) and write nonsensical comments. 8.1 isn’t bad actually. Oftentimes, dramas dip to 7.7-7.9 before eventually recovering.

In the end, both will lose to Lin Wan probably 🤣

Episodes 1-6 came out 25 hours ago so many people binged them immediately :)
