I dropped this. The characters are annoying and they overact. I didnt find it cute - just boring.

Im not impressed when females (maybe because im a female) try to act cute by overdoing facial expressions. I like cute in women, but it should come naturally and not with exaggerated expressions and slapstick actions

I also felt it was too long. It would have been less boring with a few episodes.

disgusting and disrespectful. do your research on why it's not right instead of disrespecting ur parents like…
You are disgusting. You have no right to bully anybody and dictate how the practise their religion. Its not for you to judge and to impose .

"I don't owe anyone a fake friendship for your fantasy"

I have so much respect for him. (his response to fans demanding fan service)

He was great in "Count" role. I want to see him act, Not pretend to have a fake relationship and encourage parasocial interactions with fans .

I guess Im one of the few bl fans who feels uncomfortable with staged relationships for fan service.

I think that Jun gave in because he actually liked Sorn. He always did.

I didnt get the impression that he would mistreat Jun going forward or that Sorn would neglect Juns feelings. Yes Sorn is forceful as that is his nature, but I dont think his intention is to harm or undermine Jun.

I understand where you are coming from but I guess im more forgiving.

I do like the actors as well.

I could not agree more. Its annoying when bls make gay men act like virgins who want to hold on to their chastity…
Its annoying because they want to CENSOR. They want to control what others should watch and enjoy. They want to dictate what type of bls get produced and what type of bls are appropriate.

I think it would be funny if we hit them back and argue against these FLUFFY bls instead. That they are misappropriating gay culture to create shows that fetishize gay men and create unrealistic images with the purpose of objectify them and how hurtful it is to the community.

(in jest - as a woman i don't presume to understand or speak on behalf of gay men or how they feel)

I mean no one here is probably pretending this this is another King portugu series or Shine or I don't know name…
i think a lot of people rated it low because of adult content.
If its toxic or it has sex then some people dont approve and vote low

Some like platonic romantic stories, but some like intimate action. I happen to like both. For example, I liked…
I just finished this. Im glad there are series that are adult themed but for me it felt like something was lacking. I wish there was more character development and better dialogue. I found the plot sufficient but felt the characters were too obvious - they could have added more dimension and psychology.

What also annoys me is that they have to add GL relationship . If i wanted to see gl i could watch other series. Its one thing i dislike about thai productions.

It's sad bl fangirls or whatever think that gay life is devoid of sexuality from some comments I see here it y'all…
I could not agree more.
Its annoying when bls make gay men act like virgins who want to hold on to their chastity especially the so called "bottom" .

Im glad it was more adult with nc scenes but i wish the writing was better. I felt it relied too much on the nc rather than character development and good dialogue about the psychology of the characters.

But i find it f**king annoying when they rate it low because it has adult content.

I think Sorn was a major red flag all the way through till the end. I wish Jun had ended up with Jom instead,…
i didnt see him as a red flag, rather as someone not in touch with their emotions with little understanding of relationships.

To me a red flag is someone that has irredeemable characteristics eg cheats, dishonest

It is what it is and for what it is its not bad. I cant find much to fault it and and it was done well.
But for some reason, I didnt enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
I had read a bit of the book and preferred that.

I hadn't come across a lesbian romance in the book and I wonder why producers feel they need to be inclusive and push something that is not part of the story. If i wanted GL i would seek it that out.

Yes, I love toxic BLs😭😭😭I am so glad that the ML is more toxic in this than in the mahwa. The actors…
I had time off from work this year. I needed to escape from my life so my choice of drug was bls and fiction.

But now i need to get back to work (and i dont want to) and I have to almost retrain. I work in finance/tech and things have changed a bit and i forgot how i did things at work.
My brain is not different to the body of an athlete that decided to do nothing for a year and has got lazy, put on weight.

One thing i hate is misogynists. Calling Carrie a c*nt makes you the c*nt. Grow up and stop acting like an assh.ole…
i have a love hate relationship with tragedy so I loved the book ending where they go to his funeral years later and Shane realises that he loved Jonathan (i think thats i heard).

This series ending was good because it was open ended but it gave closure. It didnt spell it out. It was perfect.

Iol i mean to be fair and honest I dont want to give the impression that there are only a handful of really good Korean bls. Its just that they could be exceptional if the didn't play it safe and went for toxic and steamy.

You are correct about acting chops. And Koreans can produce great dramas. Now I feel the Koreans are just patronising us with their bl effort. The pretend kisses, the misunderstandings and miscommunications have gotten boring.

Im really glad you enjoyed it. I got bored first time i tried watching it and then it drew me in. Its so tragic and beautiful. Its one of those films that still lingers in my mind.

Someone said that in the book, Jonathen dies in a car accident. Shane and Jonathan never see each other after the paring at the beach. I feel for Jonathan the most because his life trajectory changed because of his emotions.

Same. Im happy about Korea going dark bl, Their tv series are polished and stylized and so more toxic darker bls would hit the spot. Fun and cute is good as well BUT unless they are a bit original they easily become boring as they reuse the same formula.
I have only watched one episode, but the actor Jeong Ri U playing the ML is doing such a great job. (they both are).

Im relatively new to bl/yaoi (Found out about bl/yaoi about Dec last year) and I am very new to manhwas/manhwas - probably around September this year. In Oct I discovered sites with translated Danmei and Korean web novels. (Although I had read Addicted and The Stand in earlier this year, on a random website, Ii didnt know about webnovels and that so many people were translating and reading them)

Its weird that I dont read mangas (they are supposed to be better) as I dont like comics in black and white, and there is too much to read which I find it tiresome in comics, and then I would rather just read the novel.

lol - not a problem. The best case win scenario is that "moonchild" would have recommended some steamy good Korean bls that we missed.

I know we have a similar taste in toxic and steamy. I must confess that when I come across your comments, I often look at your profile page and watch list in case I am missing out on any shows,

So then could you name other best, steamy and toxic Korean bl tv dramas?

Koreans tend to produce chaste bl characters with misunderstandings and miscommunications driving the plot. And its a similar story with a predictable formula but a change in actors and situations. For a lot of us "great" is dealing with complex psychological characters and exploring moral ambiguity. Korea does fluff and formula.

Love in the big city, to my Star, Semantic. (8th Sense - havent finished yet) error are brilliant but rare - so apart from those what would you list as best?

I have watched over 130 korean dramas/films.

lol I knew i would eventually see you here.

I have only watched one episode but I hope actor continues to play him darker. Adding self reflection to a dark character makes him unusual and adds an interesting dimension.

If you want toxicity in BLs. read manhwas and webnovels. Koreans are leagues ahead in toxicity here, which is contrary to their tv shows with the sweet chaste fluffy bl characters.
I never knew female writers could hate men so much and be so twisted - judging by what they make the MC go through.
