The show is good and better than most but for me its not an 8.8 but then my magic prophesy gets 8.7
Im happy that a non GMM show has done so well.

if you read any manhua/manhwa - there are so many good omega plots so hopefully they will come up with a good story. There is no excuse if they dont.

Why cant we adults have some (lots) NC and even some toxic and messy dramas? They should stop judging people for having different tastes. Its fiction and should carer for diff tastes

I find it kind of offensive to be told to go and watch porn. Their is a diff between porn and nc scenes. Im not judging others but i feel it does harm to actors bodies and psyche and there is a lot of exploitation in that industry,
I also find it interesting that people find toxic bls offensive as there may be non con but porn is considered acceptable alternative viewing.

Good and original bls exist and are being made but I think they need to be promoted to the right audience that appreciates that quality, and more mature nuanced and original bls. Its not easy to find those shows.

MDL reviews dont rate shows on quality but fan preferences. The Eight Sense ( rating of 8) v My Magic prophecy (rating 8.7 ). The latter is filled with tropes and a predictable story and dialogue, Being able to cry also does not constitute good acting.

There needs to be a place to critically compare and discuss bl shows on objective criteria and that promotes the better bls. And educates audiences and this may encourage production companies to target this audience and produce better quality bls

I agree with you on a lot of the points you made.

I find that a lot of the Thai bls are going through the motions of creating just another bl to churn out for that bl production line. They just dont feel AUTHENTIC to me anymore. They are not trying to tell a story (or dont have a story to tell)

I know bl actors haven't gone to acting school and are chosen for their looks but it takes away from the series whey you dont buy into the acting. Looks help to distract only so much. Eventually you want to immerse yourself into the series and character and i cant do that with a lot of the Thai bls. I cant buy in to the plot and its a chore to finish.

I only discovered bls this year and devoured a lot. So maybe its just me - now im more critical and i know the formulas and the tropes. It takes a lot more to satisfy me.
But I think the fans are the problem as well. They may be younger or have FLUFFY taste (GMM). Fans loved Magic Prophesy and I just dont think i could have watched the same show as the did. They wont appreciate something like 180 degrees latitude or On cloud nine and they have been rated lower.

I know that if I watched Addicted or On1y One, DDOS, weatherman, Only Friends, Every you every me, LITBC, I would still be impressed. I want to limit myself to those types of bls that make me feel something.

Its kindoff annoying when people rate the show a 10 because its their favourite actor couple irrespective of the quality (production, story, acting etc). Also its the first episode and people are rating it a 10 across the board.

Im not suggesting. I really think they do. Its unforgivable that they have a series on fentanyl but don't bother to "understand" the effects and dont even care. So either the producers are incompetent and stupid or they think the audience is ignorant and stupid and wont care about such a "petty" detail. Its a work of fiction - they could have CREATED A FICTIONAL DRUG then problem solved if they dont care about facts.

I am also a bl fan I certainly accept the "stupid" label when watching certain bls. I have to switch of my thought process to enjoy a lot of them but at least unlike others Im not deluding myself thinking that I am watching a masterpiece. But sometimes there is a limit to how much stupid you should take as an audience.
