On Revamp the Undead Story Aug 23, 2025
I regret watching this because now I have to wait each week, instead of being able to binge.
I was so sceptical after watching the trailer as I had wanted something darker .
So far I am loving this. its interesting, cute, and funny in a good way.
Boun has wonderful comedic timing. I never thought I would see such a cute golden retriever puppy type vampire. He aces this role.

The chemistry is great between the leads - and both are so ridiculously good looking.
Also Mark Jiruntanin is so stunning - his profile photo does not do him justice here

Thanks for the review. I was so hesitant to watch this (based on trailer) but thoroughly enjoyed it.
I wanted dark but actually loved the comedy side of it as well.
I am pleasantly surprised.

I didn't dislike the first episode. Actually, I quite enjoyed it. My only hope is that it is much MUCH darker…
I found MGB cringe and not funny.
Im finding this one funny in a good way and enjoying it.

I'm also *scared*
Instead being opinionated abut wondering what its like, why dont you just watch it and then you can actually have an INFORMED OPINION about the show and director.

I appreciate that not everyone likes or will BounPrem or this series or the director - and that is fine as well. Its being ridiculous to sit there wondering what its like when you can actually watch it on youtube.

Honestly, I completely agree with everything you said. Ik in some real cases, the abused never leave their abusers.…
I dont think there is much we disagree on.

But its interesting how we interpret in different ways as well:
" except Khem wanted to ignore the DV. Due to this, it almost portrays the crime of the DV to seem lesser than it is,"
whereby I interpret this as people not wanting to get involved tells me there is a problem with their character and morals rather then saying anything about DV.

I also agree with you that they are using it to paint Khem of a higher moral ground which is unnecessary/pointless and why even use DV. And why do they have to make him perfect anyway?

I also 100% hated the husbands actions and villagers/peems attitude towards this issue - cowedly (and its essentially what society does - not interfere as its too inconvenient.).

My issue is more that people want to interfere and impose how a story or theme is tacked by the writer. I may not like the character BUT there is crossing a line by having an expectation of how a writer should portray a characters (perfect green flags), the behaviours allowed, and how a theme is dealt with.

I want the writer to tell the story even if I disapprove, irrespective if it mirrors or doesn't mirror reality. Its the writers fictional story.
And I don't mind people analysing and criticising either, but I feel people are dictating and censoring.
Im not sure if that makes sense.

In real life most abusers get away with it and do considerable damage to their victims. A lot gaslight victims…
Apologies for my comment - and being insensitive to your experience and making assumptions. You are absolutely correct in that you have every right to an opinion and to express it. I have always defended that.
I also dont particularly care if you dislike the show for what ever reason. And you have every right to want or prefer it to be written differently and to play out differently. I am sorry as I possibly misunderstood you.

My issue is more about how everyone wants stories to be "whitewashed." Im becoming overly sensitive as everybody wants to dictate and censor writers - about how to write fictional stories with no toxic behaviours, perfect characters, exemplary behaviour and justice for all in the end.

Its a fictional story and if I wrote it - the village would ignore the abuse, the police tell the wife to behave, the wife would be murdered by husband. The village all come together and feel bad they didn't do anything. And then in the very near future another incident takes place and the village ignores it again.

Note: i have not experienced violence (but well educated in hypocrisy )

I agree with you re this series. I enjoyed it.
People nowadays seem to want green flag politically correct characters who can do no fault. To me that would make it the most boring show.

The characters are just flawed and dealing with issues as most of us are in real life anyway. Thats why i dont get the hate.

I dont think they tackled it badly. The reality is much worse.

The topic of episode 2 has left a slight sour taste in my mouth and I need to speak about it. I really did not…
In real life most abusers get away with it and do considerable damage to their victims. A lot gaslight victims and those around them.

So why do you get upset how they treat it in fiction? At least he didnt kill her. I dont get why people want to write woke scripts and have proper Justise and punishment and closure in fiction. Its a story and I want to hear it from the author - not how you feel it should play out. The author is not writing a WOKE script to satisfy only you.

If people have a problem with domestic violence then act out against it in reality - contribute to shelters, speak to politicians, rather then get upset about a story.

God, the trailer looks so trashy and bad.
I also sceptical about this show. I wanted something dark.

But the people involved in the directing, cinematography, producing have a good track record. So i wont judge just yet.

I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life? Should we pretend rape does not…
You are a hypocrite.
You have no problem supporting a rapist like Lee Jin-wook in real life but you have an issue with fictional characters.
I cant even watch Squid games or Sweat Home because i dont want to support a rapist

So you have a problem with rape in fiction but not with rape in real life.

You should do some mesarch into China and censorship instead of asking me to educate you.

Person Lee Jin Wook
Para habla hispana:Lee Jin-Wook fue completamente absuelto de todos los cargos en 2016 cuando la propia acusadora…
In the UK, less than 1% of rapists are convicted. He admitted to having sex without consent.
Acquittal does not mean he did not rape.
What kind of person defends a rapist?

But did you like the show? So many movies and shows have prostitutes in it but the are all fiction. I personally…
I dont understand why people want to impose moral judgements on fictional characters and fictional environments.

Some even think "being gay" is a moral issue and have a problem with it.

There are still those who refuse to accept that 'Deep Night' is about prostitution. Is it because the hosts aren't…
I dont understand why people want to impose moral judgements on fictional characters and fictional environments. I dont approve of murder either but if its in a film or drama I have to publicly declare that Im against murder.

Regards normalising prostitution. This show was about a host bar and did not really dwell on the issue.
There will always be prostitution - so the question is how do we protect workers, and society. There is a lot of exploitation and abuse in the industry - sex trafficking, pimps, forced drugging, etc That is what we should criminalise.

lol - I was pleasantly surprised at this show. I found it cute. The nc scenes were good and I was not expecting a thruple.

It seems some people have a problem with this fictional show and morals. When I see a murder or violence or a mafia scene in a drama - I dont have to announce that I am morally against it. And petition to have that part removed. So what it its set in this environment.

This show was featured a host bar and did not really dwell on the issue of prostitution. There will always be prostitution - so the question is how do we protect workers, and society. Censorship has everything to do with it.
A lot of us have a problem with censorship - look at the decisions made by the Chinese govt to ban bl shows because like you they thought they had moral superiority. We have shows like Addicted cancelled amongst others because of your type. Some have said that they had the right to dictate. F&ck your kind.

I am convinced that only those with no moral compass care about what fictional characters do.
That is people like youself.

I dont see a how a fictional show can ever normalise rape n or change my view of the reality - but obviously you dont understand right and wrong and need to preach and inform everyone that its bad. Are your morals triggered?

Clutch your pearls at what fictional characters do and ignore reality - and you are too thick to understand the bigger picture about censorship.

I get what you are saying.

Rape is a big deal, but society's attitude in real life is worse than what is portrayed in bls. Im more concerned about society not punishing rapists in real life rather than judging fictional characters.
A rapist is the president of the USA. And in the UK where I live, less than 1% of reported rapes have a conviction.

Censorship because this is an issue affecting us currently in the UK as they just implemented the Online Safety Act and people have to provide IDs to verify who you are before they can access certain NSFW sites - so even some pages on reddit are blocked - not just porn sites. We are now being tracked. The end goal will be to limit more freedoms and control content we watch. Its easy to say its just porn, but the content can be news and information that affect our votes and our lives.
End of rant.
